DC Comics Watchmen Movie Nite Owl Modern Action Figure

The Watchmen Modern Nite Owl movie figure is a great addition to any action figure or Watchmen fan's collection. The sculpt is excellent, pretty much spot on to the movie version of Nite Owl. The paint is excellent with no stray paint or any obvious defects or issues. The biggest downside to this toy is the typical DC Direct lack of articulation or accessories. Nite Owl's weapon on his belt is also prone to falling out of it's spot fairly easily. The base, while definitely serving its purpose for a single figure, does not properly interlock with the base of my Rorschach figure and connecting the bases together causes them not to be level.

I suppose those flaws make my overall review sound negative, however, the Nite Owl toy is an excellent figure overall and I would recommend it to anyone.

I remember the Watchmen comics when I was in highschool so it was nostalgic for me to get the collection more than anything, It is a good series and well sculpted and painted.

The rub is, I ordered six action figures from Amazon that shipped in five boxes, it cost almost as much ship as the toys did. Three of them arrived in semi-crushed boxes shipped through USPS(product was ok) and one was shipped in a soft mailer USPS(it arrived in one piece thankfully) the box shipped via UPS (brown) was the only one I felt was properly packaged and recieved in an acceptable manner. Products great. Shipping needs to be improved.

This sculpt is exact to the Nite Owl II (movie) costume (which was as fantastic in design as either of the Christopher Nolan-directed Batman (movie) costumes).

The paint is fantastic, the color scheme is top-notch, and the item is simply (overall) a 1st-rate display item. Although my son has played with (one of my two) Nite Owl (II) action figures, it has held up (to light play), but the accessory (on the belt) was quickly (and forever) lost.

I now own 3 (at the price that I paid, which was around $4 on Amazon.com): One for display, one that has not, nor ever will be removed from the box, and one that my son plays with.

Definitely the best of the Watchmen sculpts, in my opinion, and by a wide and far margin. Seconded only by The Comedian.

This is the first Watchmen figure I've purchased. I have to say it is an incredible figure! The detail is amazing, and the articulation is decent enough to make some simple poses on your shelf. Great figure, and must buy for Watchmen fans.

I can't comment on the true quality or durability of this figure seeing as I have not taken it out of its box (and don't plan too), but I can say that it's a great likeness of Nite Owl II and one sweet looking figure over all. Of the three Watchmen figures I ordered (Doc Manhattan and Rorschach being the other two) this one is by far my favorite. "You live off people while insulting them..."
