I just got this statue in today, and I gotta say...it is an awesome piece. This was actually my first Batman statue and definately won't be my last. The statue is very reminissant of the 70's Batman and accurately portrays the Marshall Rogers Batman. R.I.P. Marshall Rogers.

The Batman marketing machine has been in full swing lately and I normally don't buy things like this. The "charging batman" is one of my favorites, however, and I couldn't help myself. Here's the pros i see:
First, Batman has always seemed like a shadow in motion. The figure gives you that feeling, with Batman almost taking off as he sits there and you admire him. The detail work is stunning. Its hard for a picture to do something justice, but this really has been done correctly. From the way he stands to the suit and even the stand, this Batman looks good. The price is great. The way Batman is designed to stand doesn't leave you worrying about him falling over. He has a two prong piece to keep him standing, and this helps you position him and then admire. Too many things have the capacity for falling. Not this one. There are others in the series that look great as well, but this one struck me as a "buy it!" Check them out before they become figments of your imagination! A charging shadow - who would have thought they would get this one right?
