This highly waterproof insulated jacket with a long fit does the dirty work, so you can focus on target-rich environments. DC added a light layer of polyfill insulation into the Hestras lining to give you just enough warmth to survive the wait in the lift line and the ride up to the peak through blizzard conditions. Other than that, this jacket is lightweight and built for rippers who dont like any extra bulk getting in the way.

This is one of the most well designed jackets I've seen. Just to clarify, b/c the Amazon descriptions are conflicting, the Jacket is 15K/15G, has wrist gaiters, and a removable/washable full head gaiter. The jacket has an amazing amount of pockets, 8 by my last count, but there could very well be more. I really like that they use magnets as opposed to velcro to secure all of the pocket/zipper coverings. It is an interesting approach that makes it much easier to use. The jacket itself provides ample warmth on a spring riding day with it's 30g insulation and would only need a light set of layers under on a colder day. I looked at many many jackets (ranging from Oakley, Burton, Hurley, North Face to name a few) prior to purchasing this one and I definitely made the best choice. To test out the waterproof, I threw it under a faucet for quite a while and it pulled out literally bone-dry. Mission accomplished.
