This review is from: DC Origins Series 1: Batman Action Figure Two-Pack (Toy)
First off, let's talk about the packaging. The figures are nicely packaged together in their own separate bubbles, with a nice paper banner and info about the line on the back. The blister pack itself surrounds the figures, making it hard to accidentally separate the plastic prematurely.

As figures go I'll discuss the classic Batman first. Simply put the figure is very true to its source material and the accuracy shows, from the bat-like cowl to the longer black boots and wing-like cape. Like most DC Direct figures the articulation is decent but somewhat limited; the head, forearms, arm in general, and legs are movable. The head in particular feels that it might be damaged from excess use, though I have not had any problems with it so far.

The modern Batman figure is also pretty detailed and looks like the comic Batman we've seen in recent years. The figure looks similar to the Hush Batman mold, though the cape, cowl, and "bat-kini" are black instead of blue. Articulation is similar to the classic Batman, save that the head swivels less and the biceps can't rotate (arm movement is also slightly limited due to the cape. Even so it can be posed quite easily and the legs are sturdy enough to support a variety of poses, even without the stand.

Finally there are the accessories. The figures each come with a batarang, which are styled for their modern and classic figures. It's a small thing but it's a nice little touch. There is also a card with the classic Batman on one side looking epic in front of a castle and a modern Batman on the other side with dramatic lighting generally looking bad-ass. And of course there are the stands, which for some reason are only large enough to put one leg on, but that's just a minor quibble.

Overall I highly recommend these figures. They are very detailed, look authentic, and provide a nice reminder about exactly how much the character has changed over the years.
