I didn't really NEED the dryer when I bought the matching washer, but you have to have the set so I treated myself not only to the dryer but to this gorgeous red too. I have had this washer and dryer set for 2.4 years now and haven't been sorry - it's the number one rated washer/dryer duo by Consumer Reports! This dryer dries very quickly, and uses a ton less energy than my old Maytag. You can program what settings you use on a weekly basis, and it has all the normal settings that you're used to on other dryers. Be sure to spring for the pedestal too - you'll regret it on the first load if you don't. It's quite the back-breaking work loading all those heavy wet clothes from the washer to the dryer without the pedestals. The drum is a white thick plastic and the lint trap is exceptionally easy to clean. This dryer also sanitizes the clothes on a special setting - I didn't choose the steam machine because I heard too much about them having trouble with mold. Haven't regretted that at all either. Great, great machine. Highly, highly recommend!
