Love this stuff!,

This review is from: DDF-Doctor's Dermatologic Formula Benzoyl Peroxide Gel (Misc.)
I've been using Neutrogena On the Spot Acne Treatment and I hated the consistency, it didn't blend in well and was very drying. But this seems more "liquidy" and is a stronger % of Benzoyl Peroxide. (It's hard to find 5% in drugstores.) They basically only have 10% which is WAY too harsh. I hate how people complain about the cost of higher end products. This tube is huge and will last a while and it is only 24.00, which is not bad. Most people will spend that anyway in their search for the perfect drugstore product. I know I have. 5.00 here with salicylic acid formula, throw away. 5.00 with the 10% benzoyl peroxide, too harsh...throw away. So this purchase is totally worth it!!

Great treatment for minor acne during pregnancy,

I'm in my 6th month of pregnancy and with the hormone fluctuations came blackheads and acne that looked like I broke out in a rash. When my doctor said to use a benzoyl peroxide all I could think about was goopy, thick creams like clearasil. DDF is not like that at all!
The gel is not messy and absorbs quickly. Since it dries almost immediately, you also don't have to worry about any nasty bleaching on your pillows at night or on clothes. I think the tea tree oil must also help with calming the skin because my face was immediately less red. I've only been using it for less than a week now and within a few days have seen some great results. My skin is almost back to pregnancy shape and even the worst areas of neck and chinline is also already looking better. Definitely has proven better than weekly facials (in cost and skin improvement).

This is the best acne medicine that I have ever used. My daughter was on antibiotics because she suffered from what she called "undergrounds". When she was trying to get pregnant she had to stop. She started using this product and never got another deep pimple or any pimple at all for that matter.

This product is amazing!,
By Katie D. "- Katie" (San Antonio, TX) - See all my reviews I tried this after a relative strongly recommended it to me. I said to myself, "Hey, why not give it a try? It can't hurt." Ever since I've used it I haven't seen a break out! This is the only product I use on my face. =) I strongly recommend it for people with oily skin like mine! It'll feel radiant after just one use!

Strong,

I have been using this product for quite some time and I feel it works well. It is stronger than other BP gels at 5% as most are 2.5%. Also I am not sure the higher concentration is necessary for me as I got similar results at a lower level of concentration. The gel has kept some of my acne at bay, but it is very drying. Make sure you use a good moisturizer. Also, the version of this product I received did not have tea tree oil in it. I think they came out with a newer version of this product. I will probably not buy this product again.

Benzoyl Peroxide is great for problematic skin. This gel is no different from any other BP-based product that I have used, which along with the benefits means there are a couple of issues.
1) Discoloration of anything you have near your face! This means your bed sheets, comforter, pillow cases, necklines of clothing, wash cloths, etc. 2) Drying. This product is drying, just like other BP products I've used, but to a lesser extent. 3) The packaging of this product is basic - flip top cover and squeeze tube. For some reason, the top on my product does not click closed, and the gel tends to seep out.

I've tried so many other products including Murad and ProActive and ended up with a face that always looked sunburned and peeling. This doesn't irritate my skin or add to the oil I already have and it works so well at getting rid of the acne. I love it and it's much more economical than most considering the huge tube you get.
