This review is from: DDF Sulfur Therapeutic Mask, 4.0-Ounce (Misc.)
I have been known to have cystic acne on my chin(the deep ones that hurt like nobody's business and don't surface immediately) that started in my 20's -- I was fine as a teen. I have gotten it almost totally under control now using proactiv(all 3 steps together or else it doesn't work, I'm speaking from experience!) and prescription duac except for occasional breakouts during PMS. My skin is combination with semi oily nose and chin, the rest is fine bordering on dry.
I am not one to thrown the cash down for pricey items, this is one of the only expensive things I buy. The jar easily lasts me a year. I keep it tightly sealed, because I have heard it can dry up if not properly closed. I use this mask once a week to keep my skin looking nice and I think it does a fantastic job. Around "that time of the month" I use the DDF mask more frequently, the extra times I use it, I'll concentrate it just in the chin area, which is where I break out 99.9 percent of the time. I leave it on for awhile, but as far as I know, once it's dried, its no longer really active on the skin. I always use it before a shower so the steam of the shower can help it penetrate, and then I take it off with a washcloth which seems to be a super exfoliation as my skin is always very soft afterwards. Or I put it on before a bath and rest a warm washcloth over the mask after it's dry before taking it off. It can be a little drying so I usually follow with a nice cream to make sure I'm correctly hydrated. The sulfur is really what is suppose to do the trick for acne and I will also use it as a spot treatment, though I rarely break out anymore. I find it takes out the redness and calms the area. People have commented on the smell, it really just smells like an extinguished match, doesn't bother me at all. It's very thick and a little goes a long way. I would prefer not having it in a tub, because it's not very sanitary, but I just make sure to wash my hands well before using it. I've recommended it to friends, one tried it and said her face got very red after, but she continued to use it and now loves it. So just be careful if you have sensitive skin, you really never know as we all react differently!

I have been using this product for a few months now and I haven't noticed any difference. I still have just as many breakouts and just as much acne. Didn't work for me.

Noticeably shrinks breakouts, great as a spot treatment. Don't leave it on too long or it can irritate your skin. It's a clay mask, so it pulls out the impurities in your face. Works VERY well, I love this stuff!!
