PC owners will appreciate the speakers' sleek look, which is designed to complement Hewlett-Packard and Compaq CRT monitors. The speakers even include side-mounted, retractable hooks that attach directly to the left and right side of the screen--ideal when desk space is at a premium or you want to raise the level of the sound. And thanks to the built-in security locks, you needn't worry about someone walking off with the speakers while you're at a meeting.
Audio-wise, each speaker offers a tuned bass port near the bottom that's finely tuned to emit just the right amount of balanced bass output. The premium treble/bass combination produces a rich, full-bodied sound (with 93 dB output) that's perfect for listening to music or enjoying a lifelike gaming experience. Controlling the sound is easy, too, via the power and volume controls located on the right speaker. No more fumbling with your PC software to lower the volume just a tad. Meanwhile, the green LED in the center of the right speaker tells you immediately whether the speakers are turned on or off.

Just to clarify a reviewer's comments below--these speakers do NOT come with a headphone jack. The plug in the front is for input from the likes of iPod or other MP3 players. Like it says in the product description: "Digital input on right speaker connects to iPod, MP3 player, CD player, or other audio device".
They sound nice, perfect for desktop use.

Given the diminuative size, you get excellent bass response not typically found in such a small unit. Very crisp highs without being "tinny" and very little distortion at loud volume levels. A bargain at twice the price.

I got these a while back with my Compaq monitor and I've got to say they are pretty dang decent. Their high and mids are pretty decent---slightly below par with the Logitech X-530's and their lows are rather lacking(probably due to the lack of a subwoofer). However for the price they are great, especially if you're looking to save space or just replace your moms speakers etc. They are also incredibly tough--I've dropped mine several times on hardwood floors with no problem.
All in all a good deal.
