I don't know why people are ragging on the new cd. If the band sounds a little different that's a good thing. It keeps 'em from going stale. This cd is awesome. It's buy far one of my favorites and Nekromantix is the greatest psychobilly band ever.

Yeah, they are good, but before you buy this album u should be sure what u want really. If you are into psychobilly or a newbie at this stuff it would be ok for you, but if you are a professional psychobilly listener pick another album of Nekro or some other bands, u cant find loud voices or bass like u can hear on HorrorPops albums, but somehow this album has good songs that u will love undoubtly. Good for archive as well with pretty album design =)

High quality sound with catchy songs,
This review is from: Dead Girls Don't Cry (Audio CD)
At first this album did not jump out of the speakers and slap me in the face. However, after the fourth or fifth hearing I started to wake-up in the middle of the night hearing "Ghoulina" playing in my head! This album provides some high quality psycho-billy and implants its sound inside your memory to enjoy, say...while you sleep.

Aside from the Reverend Horton Heat, the Nekromantix are not only the most creative, but also most talented Psychobilly band of all time. These guys have not put out a bad album (well okay, Hellbound wasn't that great but that was pretty early). If you like Batmobile, Demented Are Go, Tiger Army or any other Psychobilly and have not checked these guys out yet... do so. Peter Sandorff is an amazing guitar player and Kim Nekroman knows how to slap the coffin bass as well as the best of them. Make sure to dog-ear June the 29th Cats and Kittens, not only do we get a new Tiger Army album, but most importantly of all, a very brand new Reverend Horton Heat album! So grease up the pompadours and wax the ol' hot rod, it's lookin' to be a very Rockabilly year!

I have every Nekromantix record. I love them on CD and live. They're just an amazing band. "Dead Girls Don't Cry" is nothing short of their usual greatness! If you enjoy the Nekro boys, get this record. You will love it for sure! Every song is awesome. Nekroman's bass leads you through a journey of psycho tales. Peter rocks his guitar hard with a chilling sound, and Kristian keeps a steady beat to back all of these awesome psychobilly songs. Also, check out the new Tiger Army record, Tiger Army III: Ghost Tigers Rise, which comes out this summer! It will rock as well.

I'm new to the pyschobilly scene. I first heard Tiger Army then hear these guys on Punk-o-Rama. They are very awesome. This is the first CD I've heard of theirs and I love it. Some of the more oustanding tracks I think are: Struck By A Wreckin' Ball, Where Do Monsters Go, Dead Moon Walkin', and Dead By Dawn. I think its very much worth the money.
The Bass is excellent and the lyrics are killer. Go out and by it!!!

Best Psychobilly Album In Years,

To be perfectly honest, I haven't heard an album this good since I don't know when. I fell in love with it from the start. The ghoulish and haunting opener on this disc made me sit up the first time I heard it, and suddenly I realized I was hearing something really special. It only took about 45 seconds of weirdness and I was hooked. And then the songs begin."Backstage Pass to Hell" is a wonderful song to place at the begining of the disc. It's lyrics are both relevent and dementedly entertaining. "Moonchaser" is next, and it is the stand-out best song of the album. Beautiful and fun, a simply amazing song. "Struck By a Wrecking Ball" is also a fast, swinging little tune. This is where the fellow Hellcat members Tiger Army influence kicks in. "Where do monsters go"...not great. "Dead Girls Don't Cry" is a modern psychobilly classic, lyrics that will live on forever. "What's on your neighbors BBQ" is the Nekromantix at there story telling best, but the song itself is a bit too long. "Shockstar" is a hyper-produced Hellcat song, which makes me wonder what it sounds like live. "DeadMoon Walkin'" is a fanastic song that I've listened to many, many times. Sheer Brilliance. "World of Dust should have been the final song on the album. It shows of just how well Nekromantix can juggle this Speed Goth Metal Psychobilly/Rockabilly thing. This song is loud fast and hard, which these guys are getting really good at. "Dead by Dawn" isn't a great song, by any means. Its really long and kinda sags the end of the album right off. It trys really hard to be relevent and witty at the same time. It fails on both accounts. The outro is the same as the intro, the haunting ghost guitar and the ghastly vocals. Good for yoga or relaxation, like a lullaby. As far as the individual parts of these songs go, all members succeed on levels impossible to comprehend. The drums are relentless thanks to CHristian Sandorff, Peter's guitar is non-stop amazing, and Kim, dear sweet Kim Nekroman is the posterboy for Psychobilly at its best. In other words, thanks to the Nekromantix for a killer album, which EVRYONE should go out and buy NOW!!!

I See Dead People.,

A very dark and maudlin take on surf-rock with a definite reach towards Psychobilly. The blatantly Christian-influenced vocal chanting and lyrics permeate the length of the album, favoring minor progressions. This mixes with an obsession with death, Satan, and Hotrods, reminding one of burning Zombie-corpse versions of Hellcat labelmates Tiger Army. The acoustic bass (which is consequently black, is shaped like a coffin, and features two black-and-white crosses) furiously slaps doghouse to keep time with the neurotic chord-changes. The trio from Copenhagen Denmark is: Kim Nekroman on coffin bass and vocals, Peter Sandorff on guitar and background vocals, and Kristian Sandorff on Drums. Definitely worth a listen if you are fan of amphetamine-soaked tremolo and brutally fast drum lines. (...)
