I liked this book! It was thrilling and exciting, especially the part in the sunken sub!!! But it's unfair the series is ending now!! IT'S MY FAVORITE SERIES!!! I think they should dicontinue the Hardy Boys Series and keep the casefiles!!!!

I loved Dead in the Water! The plot had interesting twists and there was even some bait thrown out to possibly get you off track in your home detective work. I bit hook, line and sinker. In fact, when I got to the end and the lead I'd been following wasn't part of the mystery's resolution, I was sure the author had made a mistake and left an important clue dangling. When I went back & researched it in the text, though, I found there was a subtle explanation and that I'd been led astray by a good piece of work on the author's part.In general, the book had intersting and up to date characters and a timely topic (scuba is a hobby of mine). Overall, a fun book to read!

Without The Hardy Boys...,

This review is from: DEAD IN THE WATER HARDY BOYS CASEFILES 127 (Paperback)
Dead in the Water was great. I liked how the Nazi boat wasrevealed, and it's description. I found the Hardy Boys Casefiles AREcoming to a close, so I went to the HB Casefiles website and received their e-mail. If you don't want the Hardy Boys to end or at least want an explanation, e-mail them today. Thanks for reading my review. P.S. If enough people e-mail in, they might not cancel the series. END

Surprisingly Great!,

When I started this book, I wasn't sure it would be any good, because it is a pretty well-known fact among serious Hardy Boys Casefile fans (me included) that anything from #100 upward is usually poorly written (or at not as good as the first 60.)
Not so with Dead In The Water. This is written in the spirit of the best Casefiles, and the plot---oh, the plot is VERY tricky. I kept trying to guess what would happen next, and kept failing---the author did a sweet job of keeping the storyline twisty and unpredictable, while slowly unveiling a fantastic plot that made me shake my head in admiration when I was through. Dead In The Water is not lacking in action either. Treasure hunters, kidnappers, Nazi survivors, cover-ups, submarines, sharks, and even an alligator rescue at the zoo all take part in the action. The ending was great, and I was at my wits' end trying to figure out how the Hardys would escape from this seemingly impossible predicament. Great book!

THE END OF AN ERA,
By A Customer
This review is from: DEAD IN THE WATER HARDY BOYS CASEFILES 127 (Paperback)
AS A COLLECTOR OF THE HARDY BOYS FOR MANY YEARS, I FIND IT A SAD NOTE THAT THIS PARTICULAR TITLE IN THE HARDY BOYS CASEFILES IS THE FINAL ONE BEING PUBLISHED BY POCKET BOOKS. I FEEL THAT THESE BOOKS HAVE GREAT ACTION AND A LOT OF HUMOR AS WELL, AND I FEEL THAT THIS MARKS THE END OF AN ERA IN JUVENILE FICTION. THE HARDY BOYS HAVE BEEN AROUND SCINCE 1927 IN ONE FORM OR ANOTHER, AND ITS A SHAME THAT THE PUBLISHERS ARE CONSIDERING ABANDONING THE OTHER SERIES AS WELL, SUCH AS THE NANCY DREW AND HARDY BOYS SUPERMYSTERIES, WHICH ARE DISCONTINUING IN APRIL, 1998. THE FUTURE OF THE DIGEST SIZED "HARDY BOYS MYSTERY STORIES" IS ALSO ON SHAKY GROUND. THAT SERIES MAY VERY WELL DISCONTINUE AS WELL NEXT YEAR. IT WOULD BE GREAT IF PEOPLE WHO READ THIS COULD WRITE TO THE JUVENILE DEPARTMENT OF SIMON AND SCHUSTER TO TRY AND CONVINCE THEM TO RECONSIDER KILLING OFF THE HARDY BOYS. THE HARDY BOYS, IN MY OPINION, REDEFINED JUVENILE FICTION DURING THE LAST 70 YEARS. TO DATE, THEY ARE ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR SERIES OF CHILDREN'S BOOKS THAT EVER EXISTED. ITS A REAL SHAME TO SEE THEM COME TO AN END

I read this book and I think it's one of the greatest.I thought it was scary when they uncovered the dead body.It sounds gross.Anyway I 'm 11 years old and I'm mad and confused. I hear rumors that the Hardy Boys series, Hardy Boys Casefiles series, Nancy Drew series,Nancy Drew Files Series, and the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew Super Mysteries will soon be canceled. Is this true? Are these series really going to come to an end?I hope it doesn't. Concerned Kid,
