I love reading American West historical stories, and I couldn't put this one down. Ms. Fleming leads the reader on a superb adventure. I can't wait to read her next story. Brenda Sinclair, Romance Author

DEATH AT BANDIT CREEK, held my interest from the very start. It's a wonderful tale of mystery, intrigue and suspense that kept me reading late into the night! Amy Jo Fleming has produced a master piece and I can't wait to read her next story.

With Death in Bandit Creek, author Amy Jo Fleming delivers a solid historical mystery with a host of characters and complications.

The emphasis is on the plot, and Fleming does a great job of introducing the large cast, depicting all walks of life in the 1911 town of Bandit Creek, Montana.

The feisty heroine, Charlotte Fraser, is a school teacher who isn't held back by social conventions. She smokes, rides a horse astride, dyes her hair, and jumps in with both feet to solve the murder of her predecessor.

As to the other characters, professions run the gamut--from a sheriff and minister, to a prostitute and suspected cattle rustlers. The historical flavor improves as you read and, if you look past some repetitive phrasing and word usage, you'll discover a good read with lots of twists, surprises, and an action-packed climax. A fine addition to the Bandit Creek series.

Amy Jo Fleming has nailed this 1911 western mystery by spinning a tale that keeps you snapping through the pages - unable to put it down! I was impressed by the depth of the characters and the ongoing suspense that she captures from the first page. Who doesn't love a beautiful and single school teacher - at least from a guys perspective Lol - but throw her into harms way as a thickening plot takes you closer to the edge of your seat; and you have a winner! I can't tell you how many times I wanted to strap on my guns and go rescue her myself!! But alas - You can only take yourself only so far into a story. Such a shame... I can only credit this to the incredible world Amy Jo creates making this read so real.

The depths of the characters and the way that Amy Jo builds you up as you become friends and enemies of these people is what makes this an unforgettable story. With the truly unlikable Otto Dredger to the unlikely young hero found in Sheriff Alec Forrest to the suave rancher Luc Brannigan, I found yourself cheering on these cowboys trying to will them through the twists and turns of this story as I myself fought to win the day with this beautiful young woman.

Everyone who reads this book will know what I mean and even though I do have a life; What a great way to loose yourself into another world. Congratulations Amy Jo! Great story and an even better read!!!
