This review is from: THE DECLINE & FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE. LECTURE 1 OF 6. 1776: GIBBON FRAMES THE QUESTION (Amazon Instant Video)
This six-part lecture series is outstanding. It will be relished by students of ancient history, literature or philosophy, and anyone else with an interest in this period -- which contributed so much to the political ideas that shaped the thought of the Founding Fathers. The pictures are visually interesting and add much to the presentation. Dr. Neidinger is articulate, humorous and canny, and demonstrates in abundance that most crucial ingredient of a good lecturer: passion.

Further, the price is almost unbelievably low. For a few dollars you get the equivalent of a semester's lectures on Roman History at a major university.
