A vampyre story with a twist
The story adds an interesting twist to the vampyre world - not just continuing the path of the scary stories we have all heard before, Holland takes the reader through a faschinating world of different levels of odd beeings. Well written and certainly worth reading.

This story begins well, but then loses track and becomes formless. The main character moves from one situation to another, and it becomes too drifting.

Vamps, ghouls, demons, golems, the English Civil War and Lord Byron... all mixed together in a literate yet scary swashbuckling romp.... has to be read to be believed.... over the top most of the way through, but tremendous fun.
