5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Projector, November 3, 2008
This review is from: DELL 2400MP PROJECTOR 3000 LUMENS HDTV XGA (Electronics)
I purchased this projector for different uses in our church, and it is an excellent product. We have used this inside the building for power point presentations, training sessions, and watching movies. The resolution is very good and the picture is amazingly clear. The only issue I've had with it is that it does get very hot on the casing outside of the bulb, but this has never caused any problems. It just feels pretty warm after using it for awhile, but I've had it run for 4 or 5 hours before and it works fine. We've even used it outside to project a movie on the wall like at a drive in, and it worked great!

1.0 out of 5 stars Maybe got a lemon, August 1, 2011
This review is from: DELL 2400MP PROJECTOR 3000 LUMENS HDTV XGA (Electronics)
Purchased new, but was unused for over a year. Has less than two hours of use now. It turns on and starts fine, connects to a laptop fine, but about 10 minutes later one of two things happen:
1. The screen will go blank. A black and white checkerboard/line/strange shapes appear and the unit will not shut down/power off, and none of the menu or other buttons will work. The lamp is still lit during all of this. The unit need to be unplugged.
Or
2. The lamp shuts down and the orange LAMP signal blinks on and off. Same issue with the power button not working and the unit needing to be unplugged.

All of the troubleshooting guides have been followed. Lamp has been put on ECO, and brightness dimmed in order to keep the lamp cooler. Factory reset has been done. Dell support simply suggested doing all of the things that have already been done. Since is no longer in warranty, even though hardly used, Dell will not even look at it for less than $250.
