I have this Espresso Maker for two and a half years already. It never unperformed, broke or failed in anyway possible. Perfect coffee since the first day I bought it. Excellent product!

We got this item about a year ago and it worked well. The best item we used on an everyday basis in our kitchen. It saved us so much money every morning from buying coffee. User friendly! HOWEVER, after having had it for about 8 months it started leaking from the water tank--while idle and in use. We didn't call De'Longhi customer service then because we were getting ready to move, so we decided to call after we moved. Today, I called and the lady at customer service didn't even greet me--she asked what is your phone number, your zip code and then my full name. I gave it to her and she asked me when we got the item and it has just been a month over a year so she said " your warranty has expired, there is nothing we can do. Have a good day" That is it!!!!!! We are young professionals who recently had a baby, so buying this item for us was a splurge, so it was heartbreaking for her to just say that and hang up. Because it leaks water, I am afraid to plug it in--so it was a bad investment. The durability of this item is in question--if you value your money long term, I would not recommend this item.
