This is, by far, the best safety device I've ever used on a table saw. It installs quickly and does exactly what it is supposed to do - act as a 'riving knife' to keep boards being ripped from pinching the tablesaw blade and kicking back at the operator. I used three of these for thirteen years running a high school cabinetmaking shop program, and never had a board kick back at me or any of my students - and here we're talking about literally thousands of operations performed by high school students just learning how to rip safely. I'm no longer a teacher, but just bought one of these for my own Delta Unisaw at home. Best insurance policy I could buy. Highly recommended.

I purchased this disappearing splitter for my right tilt Unisaw for 2 reasons: 1 This splitter moves up and down verticaly allowing you to not have to remove it for dados. Just remove your throat plate to move your splitter up or down. 2 This splitter works in conjunction with my HTC Brett Guard with NO clearance issues- I could not do that with the Biesemeyer removable splitter. Remember, this is for RIGHT TILT SAWS!!!
