The DELTA 36-851 1 HP 4-Speed 3-Roller Stock Feeder is designed with a single-phase 240-volt two-speed reversing motor and three spring-loaded rubber feed rollers for maximum efficiency. A lubricated gear box works in tandem with the continuous duty motor to transmit power to the feed rollers, ensuring smooth feeding of all material types. Four speeds match your desired pace to suit your unique feeding jobs: 13, 26, 36, and 72 feet per minute. The stock feeder features vertical and horizontal support columns that are fully adjustable via "T" and "L" locking universal joints. Just set your stock feeder to any horizontal, vertical, or angle feeding position and move the feeders horizontally or vertically along the columns with the feeders large hand wheels. Four industrial bolts secure the vertical support column to your table surface for added stability. Includes an additional set of speed-changing gears.

Delta’s 36-851 production stock feeder is ideal for use with table saws and shapers in woodworking and cabinet making. The 1 HP, 240V reversing motor delivers continuous power to the lubricated gear box, driving the unit’s three rubber rollers (4 -3/4 inch diameter). This assures positive feeding of all types of materials. Equipped with vertical and horizontal support columns and universal joints featuring either "T" or "L" locking mechanisms secures unit into horizontal, vertical or angled-feeding positions. Four speeds: 13, 26, 36, 72 fpm, a 12-21 -1/2 inch vertical adjustment range and 7 -3/4-25 inch horizontal adjustment range adds versatility. Five year warranty.

A while back I bought a shaper to build passage doors & windows. When I pushed the stock thought the cutters I didn't have total control of the material being pushed thought. Then is the time I decided to buy a Power Feeder, now I have full control of my material being fed thought. The feeder has the right speed settings for my projects (slow). The way I can set the feeder to the angles of force to keep the material next to the fence, and on the table is total control for me. The only accessoire that came with the stock feeder is the grease gun, which is a big joke, thank goodness for the America made grease guns.

Simply put, this tool does the job. It is well constructed and built for heavy-duty use. I found out the hard way that the only reliable way to get quality cuts is to use a feeder. It's also a terrific safety device. It keeps your hands from getting anywhere near the cutter. Without it, you must stop feeding the material to reposition your hands and results in imperfections in the final product.

I gave it 4 stars only because the gear cover is plastic and the knobs/studs that hold it in place are cheaply made. These items were damaged when I received the feeder and replaced under warranty. The rest of the machine is excellent.
