DELTA 37-108 Push Blocks for Jointers

I have used a lot of different push sticks and blocks but these are the best I have ever used.

The are at the right angle and they do not slip, great tool to have in the shop for the table saw, router and jointer.

I ended up getting a pair of these and a pair of the cheaper orange brand, so it's easy to compare them side-by-side. These are better by far. Size wise, they are basically the same as the cheaper brand. At least the bottoms are. The handles are the same, except the grip area, which is quite a bit fatter on the Delta. These feel better in your hand. Plus, they are noticeably heavier. That is not enough however to justify spending twice as much. What DOES make these worth the price is the grip. They have an entirely different material for the bottom padding/grip surface. The cheaper brand has a white material that is slipperier. You can make the cheaper ones slip if you try. These Delta ones have a black material that DOES NOT SLIP.

The Delta ones are heavier, they feel better in your hand, and they do not slip. They are worth the extra money. However, if you only need them for very occasional use, the cheaper orange ones will be fine. The orange ones are a good value for the money.

The bottom line is, a jointer has the potential to cause a very serious injury. Get one brand or the other. Don't risk using a jointer without these!

These were ordered for me as a gift in September. Here it is, December and still did not get the product. I know these were on back order but the customer service at [...] - the vendor who Amazon subcontracted with to fill the order, never delivered and kept leading us to believe that we would get the product the next week, and so on and so on until we got fed up and cancelled the order. I am sure the product is great - better to buy from a reliable source than to wait for Amazon or allsparestools to get you this product. Seems this product is never in stock anyway. Do yourself a favor and don't order this through Amazon.
