Yes, but not for $600,
This review is from: DELTA 43-812 Shaper Fence (Tools & Home Improvement)
This is the fence that came with the Delta shaper. Its a decent enough fence and works well on the Delta shaper, but I would never spend $600+ for it if I were looking to put a fence on a shaper that didn't have one, or had a poor one.
The dust port works well enough although it is a little hard to find a hose to fit. The port is 4", but so is a 4" hose and they have to be taped together. Someone might make a special adaptor for this, but I've not found one. The aluminum fence faces do what they are supposed to and if you hit a cutterhead with the aluminum it does no damage to the cutterhead. Dust does collect in the tubes on the fence, just remember to clean it occasionally. Adjustments are routine, the micro adjustment on the fence faces makes things easy as well, but make sure you have an accurate straight edge to be sure the fences are parallel/coplaner - slight misalignment can result in a board catching on the outfeed side, or moving into the cutter at the end of a pass resulting in snipe. That would be an issue with any split fence design. Big industrial shapers generally don't come with fences (we're talking REAL industrial machines, not Delta, Jet or Shop Fox). Fences for those are shop made for specific purposes. For $600 you can make a LOT of fences out of plywood or melamine coated MDF. If once does not want to undertake that adventure, there are alternative, aftermarket fences available for far less. The trick would be finding one that fits your machine (different shapers have different spacing between table mounts). So, four stars because its a decent fence, heavy and reasonably easy to use. If it were $200 or less I'd say 5 stars, but $600? Delta grey paint isn't worth that much, sorry.

want of workmanship,

This review is from: DELTA 43-812 Shaper Fence (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have used the fence for over two years and found the fence wanting for acuracy and useability. The lock levers which secures the fence are poorly made and hard to use. The lock lever plastic gears are stripped and require replacement. The cost for a replacement is over $7. I would spend my money on something else.Delta Deluxe Shaper Fence(Model 43-812)
