The DELTA 50-761 2 HP 4 Bag 2,100 CFM Dust Collector features a volume-saving vertical design that doesn't compromise the power of its 2 HP motor, which moves up to 2,100 cubic feet of air per minute. The vertical dust collector sits on heavy-duty casters, a sturdy steel base, and four glide wheels that can move anywhere in your shop without damage. The durable plastic collection bag can be mounted on one of two snap-in rings. The upper bag can filter out pollutants one micron in size--contaminants that your eyes can't see but your lungs will thank you for. The collection bag is a clear 6-mil durable plastic that allows you to see when the bag needs changing. Exhaust is filtered through the filter bag rather than the collection bag to prevent air from escaping. The dust collector fits woodworking machines that are compatible with a 4-inch diameter hose. It includes four 6-mil plastic collection bags, two 1-micron filter bags, four swivel caster assemblies, a cord, a plug, and an instruction manual.

Basically, this Delta dust collector performance is just great but the issue that I have with it is the changing of the plastic waste bags. I'm very surprized that Delta designed such a great collector with such a lousy way of removing or changing the bags when full. The split metal banding that Delta has set up to attach the bags is just horrible. I feel like I'm in a boxing match when it comes time to change or empty the bags. I have an old 110v. Shop Fox that I used for years and emptying the bag was a breeze. This Delta 50-761 is a replacement for that unit. I hope someone reads this and can tell me of a fix for my situation. I can't be the only person that feels that this method of attaching the bags terrible and time consuming. I'm posting here because I have purchased things from Rockler and getting assistance on the Delta web site is nada. Like I said....great performance but the attachment method for the waste bags is BAD. I would not purchase this again just because of the reasons I stated above.

I have had this unit for a couple of years and must admit it works well. Allthough, the 1 micron top bag does clog up and gets very heavy and sometimes will not stay inflated. I would recommend getting a bag with a higher micron. But, overall, its a good machine although i think you could get a machine of equal quality for less money. I think they are all made by the same people. They are all made off shore anyway, so i think it really makes no difference. I would look at the shop fox w1687, its a lot less and the specs are about the same.
