Blows as much as it sucks,

The vent from the exhaust blows the same stuff you are trying to pick up. You'll spend most of your time tactfully pushing material around until you can flank it to pick it up. Stay away.

It was bigger than I expected and the blow from the exhaust sometimes moves what you are trying to vacuum and defeats the purpose. The design falls short for my needs. I was hoping for a little more of a high tech item.

Wasn't sure if I would like it, I do! I do wish they had included an extra filter though. For the price you would think they could afford that. Other than that it works very well on small items on the rug and floor. You do have to clean it after every use, and be careful cleaning the little filter. I wash it off and let it air dry. It is easy to hold and not too loud.

i had heard pretty good things about this and wanted a cordless vac that didn't take up much room and looked a little nicer..so i bought this. the suction is absolutely horrible. it will suck things up and then the minute the angle is changed-maybe you switch hands or something-everything you vacuumed up falls out again. and if that wasn't bad enough--after about 3 months the power button wouldn't turn off. i would push and push and it would just stay on--finally after fooling around with it for a few minutes i would get it off. it has just now gotten to the point that it won't turn off-my daughter just went and threw it in the garbage with it still running. i have had enough. luckily it doesn't hold a charge that long so it shouldn't be on for too long sitting in the garbage can.... :) ugh.

Overall, great product!,

I needed a hand vacuum because I have two kittens and they like to flick litter out of their litter box. I purchased the Kurv because it has a cool, sleek design and also it had a lot of good reviews!
It has great suction! It picks up kitty litter really well! The only downside about it is, it doesn't get into crevices for instance, along the wall. The Kurv is really a great product. I would definitely recommend it to people!

Dirt Devil 0216SPC Kurv Cordless Handheld Vacuum Cleaner, SpiceI purchased this vacuum (grey) in June 2008. In January 09 the battery charger light wouldn't come on. I called the service department and they said it needed the battery replaced but they didn't do that work. She then refered me to an authorized dealer near our home. I contacted this dealer and he replied that the necessary battery was no longer available. The sweeper is 6 month old and useless!! Why is it still listed for sale?

I purchased the Dirt Devil Kurv after my old Dirt Devil quit working. The Kurv did not disappoint. It worked as well as my old dirt devil.
The only thing I don't like is the handle. It is difficult to grip and hold because the handle has a smooth, satin finish.

This product does exactly what I bot it ot do; quickly cleans up small dry messes. It does what it is designed for very well and it can sit out without looking ugly. I have a small apartment and no place to hide a small handheld. This filled the bill perfectly. I just hope that they will have replacement filters in a year or so since I really do plan on keeping it for a long time. I followed the instructions of letting it charge for a full 24 hours before using and the battery seems to have more than enough juice to do the job.

Dirt Devil does it again!,
This review is from: DIRT DEVIL M0216SPC KURV Cordless Rechargeable Hand Vac (Spice) (Kitchen)
As if their KONE wasn't good enough, Dirt Devil has managed to top it with the even sleeker, more powerful, KURVE hand-vac. This dynamic little ditty shaped like an original lava lamp is the perfect picker-upper for crumbs that accumulate on the floor around a table or on the kitchen floor, potting soil that escapes after watering plants, dust bunnies and pretty much anything else that you can think of. I can't be sure how good it will do on pet hair since I no longer have a pet, but I'd be wiling to bet that cat litter tracks will be a thing of the past with this groovy vac. It's absolutle terrific on furniture lint and in the nooks and crannies of the sofa. Of course, it's always wise to stay away from trying to suck up anything too large or too substantial like paper clips or nuts and bolts, but this puppy is now my official go-to vac for freshing up those areas where dust and hair often accummulate and when dragging out the big vacuum is too much of a hassle. The price is right and it comes in several cool, metallic-finish colors (I got the rust). It holds a charge much longer than I thought it would and empties easily, but be sure to remove the plastic dust filter inside and clean that regularly as it can fill up pretty quickly depending on on much hair and lint you've got around. All-in-all, a great gadget. I bought it for myself, but it would make a welcome gift!

I guess I bought into all the hype that it was so much more powerful and blah blah... in the end it was just a cool looking old school dust buster with very little more capacity than for catching a couple dust bunnies under the couch. On the positive, the battery life is great so far. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but it is what it is, a cordless vacuum, and it's nothing to write home about.
