This well-balanced tool provides improved safety, with a trigger lock-off that allows you to disable the trigger when the nailer is not in use and replaceable anti-skid pads that prevent the tool from sliding away from you on sloped roofs. And performing routine maintenance and cleaning of the feed piston area is simple with the easy access granted by a convenient hinged cover. Beyond the features that make this nailer so easy to use are a set of details that help ensure dependability and a long life, including durable carbide inserts in the contact trip foot and a double O-ring design that protects the feed piston.

Great Roofing Nailer,
By Chuck Contractor "Revolution Group" (Minneapolis, MN) - See all my reviews
This review is from: DEWALT D51321 3/4-Inch to 1-3/4-Inch Coil Roofing Nailer (Tools & Home Improvement)
My 4 Dewalt nailers have been through about 70 roofs now with no problems at all. The unit is nice, reasonably priced, and very durable. I also use Porter-cable, Hitachi, Rigid (worst BY FAR), Bostich, and Paslode. If I was to rate it, the only nailer I would put ahead of it is the Hitachi, but it is double the price.

Godd deal for the price,
This review is from: DEWALT D51321 3/4-Inch to 1-3/4-Inch Coil Roofing Nailer (Tools & Home Improvement)
Well, I needed a roofing gun. Mind you, I try not to do too much roofing but I ran across a couple of roofing projects that I couldn't pass up. So I said "Jim, you need a roofing gun!" I haven't owned one since my old Bostich Ridge Runner.
I bought the Dewalt. Good price. It doesn't love the 1 3/4" nails I used on the first job (a roof over). Then again, it is January in Maine. The next job was a strip and shingle over 1" barn boards with 1 1/4" nails. Not as bad, still not perfect. It seems like the gun just doesn't want to set every nail the same. I did a lot of hand setting of the nails that wouldn't seat. Never a jam, though. I would buy it again, but maybe not if I did roofing every day.

had a big roof to do and did'nt think i needed a air tool for shingles, i have done them by by hand for over 20 years. i saw dewalt was haveing a combo nail gun and radio for a far price, well i thought why not, i can always return them if i did,nt like it. the dewalt air roofing gun was light, fast and so smooth, no jams, it was great. i loved it and i'll never swing a roofing hammer again.........
