Nice Little Compressor,

Got this compressor last christmas so haven't had it that long yet, but so far it's worked without a hitch. This is a nice little compressor for trim jobs. It's very easy to carry around because of its light weight. It fills up fast and is rather quiet. Got all new windows in my house and have had to case them all. No problems using my trim nailer with this compressor, it would go on about every 7 shots. I highly recommend this compressor for light trimming jobs.

a nice lite weight compressor perfect for any size trim job. Plenty of power to run a finish gun or pin nailer. I haven't had the compressor that long but I just installed 700' of baseboard and was quite satisfied the way it performed.

Works..for a little while... one major flaw,
This review is from: DEWALT D55140 1-Gallon 135 PSI Max Trim Compressor (Tools & Home Improvement)
This compressor is fairly powerful, when it works... if you'll notice, a lot of people have problems with this unit quitting working after a certain amount of time, and here's the reason and the fix for those who are at all curious...
There's something wrong with the way this unit draws power, which causes a short in the circuit board. The board gets overloaded if you leave it on, and the fuse blows. No fuse means the unit stops working completely. You can replace the fuse (I believe it's a 5 amp fuse) on the inside - but it will blow again after a matter of time (like I said, a defect in the circuitry...) It is something of a pain to open this compressor up and work on it. I installed a plate on the outside that holds the bottom plastic back together, and removed the stock compression clamps on the hoses and replaced those with screw down hose clamps. Now the unit is easier to open than it was before..but it is still something of a nuisance to open it up and fix it. To fix this (somewhat) permanently, I soldered wire on either side of the circuit board, and moved the fuse to the outside of the unit. The fuse is now accessable directly on the ouside of the case (between the tank and the knobs) - and when it blows, I can simply replace it with another fuse for about $0.80. A more permanent solution would be to put a 5A breaker on the outside, so you just have to flip a switch when it pops...but I haven't gotten to that point yet. .......even with this fix, I would still reccomend staying away from this compressor. It IS ultra portable and when it's working it's great for trim and light work, but who wants to open up an air compressor to fix something that should have been either caught by Quality Control or recalled entirely?

the best compressor for the home workshop,

I bought this compressor because it is one of the smallest available, yet it is well made for professional use. This is all you need if you don't have permanent air use like in a home workshop. Since it is so small you can easily carry it around to the point of use. I use this compressor for example to keep my car tires in spec. It is so much of a hassle to do that at the gas station (and I am anyway always in a hurry at the gas station). You just charge the compressor tank, unplug the cord and carry the compressor to the tires. The one gallon tank is easily big enough for all tires of my 2 cars (incl. spares). The compressor is very well sealed, I tested that the pressure of initially 140psi does not drop below 125psi in two days.

This is a great little air compressor to use. It is very quiet as stated, and its easy to move around because of its light weight. Very nice to use when running a brad or finish nailer as I have tried using it to do some interior trim work. An overall great air compressor with plenty of power, light in weight, and very quiet. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Worked for 12 hours, Dewalt won't stand behind it,
This review is from: DEWALT D55140 1-Gallon 135 PSI Max Trim Compressor (Tools & Home Improvement)
Really liked the compressor at first. Used it very little and gave it excellent care. It quite working after about 12 hours of use. Dewalt will not help to diagnose the problem. Made in China not America like the other Emglo compressors. Dewalt service is non-existent. I am done with Dewalt tools because I have had similar problems with their cordless tools and portable planer as well. They have a nice paint job but are homeowner grade, not professional grade tools. They do have a professional price tag.

I bought this compressor to avoid carrying heavy 5-gallon compressor after having back surgeries. I'm really happy to have this unit. It's extremely portable that I can carry anywhere even in the attic. It also maintains enough pressure for flooring stapler, so finish nailer causes absolutely no pressure problem.
I used to use CO2 nailer for small jobs. After buying this, I don't use the very expensive CO2 tank any more. This unit is almost as handy as CO2 nailer. It's amazingly quiet that normal conversation never get nterrupted while it's running. Obviously this is not for big jobs like using two flooring staplers at the same time. One drawback I notice is air pressure does not remain in the tank after turning it off. Air leaks out fairly quickly. I haven't measure how fast it goes to zero pressure, but it does not maintain for an hour. However, it recharges faily quitckly too. ^^ and very quietly. Fittings are not provided, so have to buy everything. That's an extra cost. I recommend to anyone who need light duty compressor work.

This compressor sounds like it is lacking a little power, however it is perfect for small work that i do during installations of builtins. It is verry easy on the back as well. I have tried compressed co2 systems and prefer the small compressor.
