I don't know if I should be putting this on the web, but I wanted to give everyone the lowdown on this light. This light does a pretty good job of lighting your work area, but not near as good as corded. It is a bit fragile too and doesn't seem to stand up to tough job-site conditions as well as i thought it would. The main reason I bought it was for the long (supposed 8 hr) battery life. I have yet to keep it on for 8 hours yet, but so far the battery hasn't died on me yet. I have kept it on for a couple hours strait. One of the things that I am worried about with this guy is the fact that I have heard (possibly rumors) that if you over-discharge the battery, it can be permanently damaged in lithium technology. This is not a problem with the other tools in the DeWalt 36v series because they lose power when its time to charge. The problem lies with this light because it can use a battery all the way to the point of over-discharging. The Bosch litheon light has an auto shutoff feature to prevent this but I have yet to hear about this feature on DeWalts light. -If anyone knows about this please comment on it!!! The last and main point I want to make that most probably don't know is this: I had bought this light online and the first time I used it the thing broke on me. Luckily I have a service center very near my house, so I took it in. The thing they told me was the earlier versions of the lights have a defect in the little hose deal from the body to the actual light. It can easily come disconnected and prevent the light from working. However, they fixed it in later models and sent me a brand new one free of charge

I use the flash light often and the light that was included in the kit had pretty wimpy flex, so it would droop when I try to bend it into a L. With the replaced unit, it is much stiffer so that it'll hold any shape I can bend into. This thing is bright and operates for a very long time. I have not yet had to replace the bulb, but I have a packet that I've bought on Amazon ready to go in the even they need to be replaced.A bit pricy, but if cost was concern, one would have settle on a lesser brand or voltage. I've found these tools never quit, robust and heavy duty, works longer than I ever could. If you already have 36V batteries, these flash lights are great!

Great Flashlight BUT no replacement bulbs,
This review is from: DEWALT DC509 36-Volt Lithium-Ion Floodlight (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have used this flashlight constantly for two years. Loved it! However, the bulb burned out and they do not sell replacement bulbs. You cannot get a replacement bulb from the factory itself and the retailers cannot order them. So you end up with a $60.00 piece of junk. If anyone knows where to get a replacement bulb, please let me know. I also know of a couple of retailers who would like to know as well.
