DEWALT DC759CA 18-Volt Compact Drill/Reciprocating Saw Combo Kit

I got this April 7,2011 and have use these pretty hard for the past month. One thing about this product is the reciprocating saw, it uses the low capacity batteries
fast. I recommend buying the XRP batteries along with the set for the reciprocating saw. THIS WAY YOU SAVE MONEY, heres how: I have wanted some Dewalt cordless
tools for the last few months for all the hard work here. I know Milwaukee and Makita are higher quality but also higher priced. I'm 13 (using my moms account) and get average $100 a week from
from most of the odd jobs here in Dillingham, AK about 350 miles southwest of Anchorage the largest city in Alaska. Since need to save money I searched and searched and
searched for most of the pretty good quality cordless drills and reciprocating saws. I looked at the XRP drill and recip' saw kit at Northern tool and it was $369.99 then I saw the
same kit on Amazon for a lower price, (I don't know how the owner of Amazon is a billion air when he can lower the price on billions of products AND even give FREE shipping to Alaska my dad says
he get a few cents per item but I don't know?) Then under Similar products I saw this Dewalt combo kit. Then I didn't know what XRP batteries were until I saw another review under this product
that said it would be a grand deal if it had XRP batteries. So that convinced me to see what they were. I asked my dad but he didn't know what they were but told me to go search for them.
I found the description on Northern tool which is to the bottom. Since then XRP drill and saw kit was $369.99 I saw that you could get this kit which was $200 at that time and a XRP batteries 2pack,
which was on sale for $86 (and now is currently $95), and get four batteries and the drill and saw for $286 THAT WAY I SAVED ABOUT $100 AND GOT FOUR BATTERIES FOR THE PRICE OF ABOUT TWO.
This way the two low capacity batteries went two the drill, and the two high capacity batteries went to the saw! I also bought this because I love power tools and I'm a Dewalt fan.
I HOPE YOU SAVE MONEY AND READ THIS REVIEW! FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT XRP BATTERIES ARE THEY ARE EXTENDED RUNTIME HIGH CAPACITY BATTERIES. The paragraphs are messed up cause I'm still taking typing classes.

I received the DC759CA kit today and it was as I expected, not a refurb, but new, in original unopened packaging. It comes with a plastic hard case with lots of extra storage room for bits, blades, etc. It did not come with a bag, as the description says. I'd sooner have the box anyways. It's a DeWalt, so you know the quality is there, and Max Tool delivered as expected and for less than anywhere else.

Drill is very powerfull. The sawzall goes through the battery pretty quickly, but is much easier to handle than the corded makita that I used in the past. Also, the sawzall has a quick locking mechanism for the blades so no need to secure them with an allen wrench and they blade never comes loose.

I just wanted to report that like someone else here, although the description says it comes with a contractor's bag (and not a case), mine came with the black plastic case that is pictured in Amazon's photos.

I own the drill, and the saw. They're both great, but I didn't get them with this kit. I almost bought this kit this morning for the fresh batteries (lightning deal) until I realized that the batteries were not XRP. If they were XRP, this would be a deal for sure. Since they're not, I'll have to pass. I don't need the bare tools, and the batteries aren't nearly as strong as the XRP's.

I Have used this drill, and also the reciprocating saw. I have used other brands, but this has them beat. I would recommend this product to everyone.

recp. saw is light weight, i can cut small trees down, limbs and it is very
simple to use, just secure blade and go for it.

make sure you turn off (switch) after doing job. it would be easy
to accidentally cut self.

i love my saw and drill.

Came very quickly and great deal for a great name brand. My husband can't wait to go out to try out the saw when we are taking down tree stands.

I have an 18V Dewalt kit, and I have been very disappointed with their quality and pricing. If you look around, Dewalt charges almost double what all the other manufacturers charge for their batteries! This can be very costly over the long run. They take a razor and razor blade approach to their tools to sell overpriced batteries.

I also find that the lifetime of their NiCad batteries aren't even close to what I get with Makita drills or Festool. Don't be fooled by their initial pricing, look elsewhere.

One other comment. If you don't have a need for a cordless Sawzall, I would consider just getting a drill and impact driver kit. If you use a sawzall in heavy demolition or construction, I think you will find that the battery life and lack of power will become annoying fairly quickly.
