I purchased a similar XRP kit about a year ago through Amazon and it's given me generally good service. I'm a homeowner, so the amount of time I've put on the tools has been pretty light compared to a pro. Being a bit of a tool freak, I was willing to pay a premium for what I thought would be professional-grade performance and durability. So, I was a bit surprised when using the XRP drill a couple weeks ago to sink a few drywall screws that I detected a burning odor coming from the internals, followed immediately by the drill ceasing to function. A disappointing inconvenience for a year-old "heavy duty" drill that's received light use, I thought, but at least the unit is still covered by DeWalt's rock-solid 3-Year Warranty. Surprise! After sending the drill back to the DeWalt service center with a copy of my original receipt, etc. I was informed that the Warranty only covers replacement of parts, and that the labor charge for swapping out the defective switch on my unit will be a whopping $91. I tried to reason with them that this seemed a bit excessive given the premature nature of the failure and compared with the cost of buying an entirely new drill. Their attitude was that's-your-tough-luck-buddy-take-it-or-leave-it. I ended up paying, but feel like it got scammed. A sub-standard product with an effectively non-existent warranty. Be warned.

I purchased the kit to replace a drill that was lost, and add the impact and grinder to my collection. The kit is great, and use the other tools more than I ever thought I would. The new tools are smaller and lighter than I would have expected but still as strong. I have used DeWalt tools now for about 6 years, and would recomend them to anyone.

Delivery was prompt. No complaints. The product is nicely priced since you are buying the set. The product is well made, sturdy and powerful. My only small complaint is that this set comes with 3 drills. I am no construction worker so I can really say why there are 3 different types of drills but I supposed they each serve a very specific function. I still gave it a five, can't penalize a product because of my own ignorance.

I love this kit. I think the only thing I don't use is the drywall cutting tool...but I'll use it one day. I've been using this kit in Afghanistan. It makes it so simple because you have all the right tools for the job. I've been using the heck out of the circular saw, hammer drill, impact driver, and reciprocating saw. THey are all awesome. If you get this kit, and plan on using it quite a bit, I'd recommend buying at least another charger and 2 more batteries. The tools perform wonderfully. This is one of the best and most versitile investments I've made. DeWalt has so many other things that run on those 18V batteries, I bought a few other things just to keep things simple. I've been beating these things up framing rooms, putting up ply wood, etc... They take all the abuse with ease. I'm sold on DeWalt's quality and versitility.

I ordered this set via Amazon Prime and got it in 2 days as expected. They were in a DEWALT box (undamaged), and within the box were the 2 bags in the picture with the tools separated into each bag. I tested all tools and they all worked great. I began using them right away.

My old drill sets both died, one burned up, and the other the batteries needed replacing so I figured instead of investing in new batteries, why not put the money toward a nice set since they weren't that great to start with. I am not a handyman, but use my tools a lot for home improvement projects. I have cheaper wired duplicates of a few of the tools from this set, but took the chance on this battery powered set.

Mostly I use the driver, drill, impact driver, jigsaw, and circular saw. They work great, and I find that it cuts down a lot of project time having these great tools rather than the weak drill sets I had in the past. I have used them for numerous projects including building heavy duty raised planters, mounting racks, and other things. It's great to have a driver and drill separate so I don't have switch drill and screwdriver bits constantly. It's also nice not to have to drag the long extension cord out to perform cuts in the yard.

This was a great buy, I could have got by with buying one tool at a time, but you never know when you are going to need one of them, and now I am totally covered. I definitely recommend this set to anyone who thinks they'll use all the tools. If you only need individual tools, I can say that they all work great, and if you need one individual tool definitely pick up one of these cordless DEWALTs, you won't be disappointed.

This is a great kit for the weekend warrior. I have had dewalt drills for years and decided to buy the whole set of cordless tools. The 18V tools are great for small projects and seem to be quite poweful. I have used most of the tools when building a fishing crate and they performed flawlessly. Dewalt has done a great job making them easy to use. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Item is well worth it. Everything works great. You couldn't buy half of the items for this price. Just need to get extra batteries, 9 tools and only 2 batteries.

Great tools, lots of power - only thing is I wished is that the set came with a double charger so that both batteries could be charged at the same time.

I got this set several years ago. Mine came with a right angle drill instead of the impact driver. I would have liked the right angle drill and impact driver instead of the impact wrench which i seldom use. Two batteries let you use one while the other charges. I also have an extra battery from my Dewalt cordless nailer, so I don't run out of power. If your a contractor get the DEWALT DW9109 7.2-Volt to 18-Volt Pod-Style Vehicle Plug-In 1-Hour Battery Charger.I renovate houses and have put these tools to use and they perform. Bags are nice and have lots of pockets to carry many accessories.

This is a great tool set. Our original set was stolen and we borrowed a set while I searched for the best price. It was on Amazon through Tool King. Once I ordered the set it arrived quickly. Very happy customers!
