I put this drill holster thru a lot of abuse while remodeling a house then working with Habitat for Humanity. It is sturdy and has all sorts of pockets/sleeves to stick stuff. Works pretty well for staple guns too. You can't go wrong with this product.

I used the DeWalt D5120 Ballistic Nylon Universal Drill Holster for years. I never liked it because my drills would wedge forward in it and become very hard to pull out. The DG5120 fits the drills much better and allows the drills to pull out very easily. I recommend it.

I received this in the mail today and thought I would write an initial review since I find these incredibly helpful. I used a Craftsman Leather drill holster for almost 10 years and it did great until a snap broke. This holster is far superior to that one. It uses what feels like a heavy duty plastic buckle to secure the drill when not in use and has a handy piece of velcro inside to hold up the buckle when the drill is being used preventing the strap from getting caught under the drill upon holstering. That is a huge benefit. No more fiddling with the strap when putting the drill in the holster. Also, the holster holds the drill and impact driver well. Overall, this holster is amazing and highly recommended.

Great drill holster, the only problem is that all the holes for the larger bits are hollow so things can fall through them. Other than that it was great being up on the ladder, screwing something in, and NOT having to balance the drill on my shoulder or the ladder while I reach for another screw.

With newer drill drivers they are a little smaller in frame then older ones and the holster is the answer. my driver fit great in this one and does not want to fall out when I am bent over doing something and the bits are easy to get in and out!!

I bought this as I was really annoyed at having to pick up a drill from the floor as I am holding a screw in the other hand. I have the Makita small drills, so it fits but this holster is way too big for the small drill, however the drill stays in the holster due to the clips. This holster goes on your belt and stays put. I am happy with the purchase as the drill will be close to my hands when I need it. I used to use the drill hook, but it was too big for the Makita drill.

I have used the holster very little because the angle at which is hangs causes the battery to pull the drill out of the holster. Yes, there's a velcro strap and if I fastened it every time i put the drill in and unfastened it every time I took the drill out, the problem probably wouldn't happen. But refastening the strap requires that I look down every time - I'm trying to get the job done, not play with the holster.

This thing is awesome. I didn't even know DeWalt made this until my neighbor let me borrow his for my fence project. The holster kept my drill in place and handy. When not in use, I didn't even realize I had it on. The clip ensures the drill stays in while not in use and moving around.
It is made of heavy duty material and strong stitching, it also has pockets for your additional drill bits you may use for a project. In my opinion, this is well worth the money for someone who uses their cordless drill a lot!

I got this mainly for roof work (metal and chimney repairs) as a way to keep my drill close-by. I've ended up using it all the time because it's a great way to keep my drill where I can find it with an assortment of bits on-hand. The strap over the grip is great - keeps the drill in place. Not sure why it has velcro on it - I was concerned at first that the velcro was the only thing securing the strap to the inside of my holster, but it's not. The velcro appears to allow you to adjust the way the strap rides on the handle of the drill, but I think they could probably omit this feature without affecting the quality of the holster. Overall, very rugged, well-built and good design. Fits on most standard tool belts. In fact, this was my inspiration to go buy a belt and a pouch to carrying other tools and fasteners in. Highly recommend this item. DeWalt is great stuff and a great company - they have always stood behind their stuff.

This item is everything that one would hope it to be. While building, it's always nice to have both hands free and still have your drill/driver by your side. Coupled with the belt sold by DeWalt, this thing has been a life saver! Especially while working on a ladder, this accessory has been of good use. It's well built and durable, and doesn't flop around when you're moving about. I highly recommend it!
