Works great!, December 26, 2005
This review is from: DEWALT DG6000 6,000-Watt 11 HP Portable Generator (Lawn & Patio)
I had this for about 2 years now and it saved me a few times. It still started fine (to my amazement with the stale gas) after I left the gas in it for one season. I attribute the fine quality to the Honda engine.

This review is from: DEWALT DG6000 6,000-Watt 11 HP Portable Generator (Lawn & Patio)
I purchased this generator in order to have an additional generator
for the Hurricane season. Not much to say other than it is another
great Dewalt product sold by Amazon at a great price. Also you can't beat
the reliability of the Honda engine.

Does what I need., December 14, 2008
This review is from: DEWALT DG6000 6,000-Watt 11 HP Portable Generator (Lawn & Patio)
I was able to get one of these a few years ago when Home Depot had a yellow tag 50% off sale ($950). I have used this many times and saved many pipes and fridges. The Honda engine is quiet and efficient. On a light load it uses 5 gallons in 10 to 12 hours. It runs our heat, well, fridge and small chest freezer as well as lights. If you use it with a computer, be sure to have a battery backup installed, as it will catch any voltage sags when motors/pumps start up. Also comes in very handy when on the job site, or in a remote area.
