Whatever type or job you're immersed in, you'll appreciate the five-degree self leveling range and the out-of-level indicator, which causes the beams to flash, alerting you if the unit has been jostled, so you can avoid costly mistakes. The lasers at work here produce focused beams to deliver small, easy-to-see dots for excellent visibility and increased accuracy within 1/4-inch over 70 feet, which means this laser is not only quicker and easier to set up, it's more accurate than many traditional leveling tools. A full-body, over-molded casing protects this tool from jobsite hazards to ensure calibration is maintained over time, and when you take on a big layout job, magnets in the top of the unit secure it to metal tracks or studs. I'm a union carpenter and do alot of metal stud framing in the greater Seattle area.I got this because I have used so many De Walt cordless drills over the past twenty years furnished for us tradesmen by large union constuction companies here.It is so functional that two more guys on the crew that used it bought they're own.

GREAT TOOL! USING IT TO SQUARE FLOORS AND FOR INTERIOR WORK. BETTER THAN THE HIGH DOLLAR ONE I HAD BEFORE. GREAT VISIBILITY AND ACCURACY! hIGHLY RECOMEND!!

This device is a real time saver and quite accurate.
The only thing I would add is a 5th beam for 180 degree type layout instead of just 90 degree, but I think its great just the same.
