I bought these to replace some broken/damaged bits (2) from my larger 64pc set. These are DEWALT - need I say more.

I now have a smaller set that fits in the drill box to go with me on smaller projects around the house.

I found these same drill bits at my local home depot $8 cheaper. Other than price I have no complaints. These bits do great in wood as well as metal. They are still sharp as when I got them in the mail

The tip of this drill bit is very strong, you can clearly feel the sharpness of the edge. With a firm push it goes through most boards easily (I've only used it on wood and walls so far). Very satisfied with the product.

Just don't change on the fly when your drill happy, because the tip gets hot due to friction.

These bits are great, but watch it, sometimes they'll drill farther than you need because they are sharp.

So, first, I am a mechanical engineering student, so I know a thing or two about mechanics, and this set is a steal, but you must know what to use them for, for titanium is not ment to be used with soft materials such as low carbon steel, aluminium and such (goes trough them like a hot knife into butter and probably damaging the material or getting stuck), for wich you should use HSS or even Cobalt drill bits, but for stronger materials, such as machinery grade steel, stainless steel and some other strong alloys, so if you use them for what they were designed, this is one GOOD set of drills.

this bit outlasts other competitors and drill s a lot quicker.Head to head with competition, this works quicker and smoother. Not to mention doesnt dull right away

Ive been useing these a while and got this kit for a xmas present. I have remodeled a house, and built a deck, and each time i was glad to have these with me. There is a pre drill tip on them, that I think makes more efficiant, and easier drills. Ive already broken a couple, but its because I went and did something i shouldnt have. The deck I built was topped with trex, and that stuff has to be pre drilled... that bit still pulls through everything i put infront of it. The carrier is nice, hard locking so it wont open on its own, and even if it does the bits are in good holders, some may complain, but they are perfect for me, a finger behind the tip and pull up... too easy.. Another nice thing, the size is on the bottom of the drill, just incase.

So far I have use these to drill soft metals and all types of wood working on projects around the house, in on word, they are fantastic.

What I llike most of about these, compared to regular drill bits is the "Pilot point" feature which allows me to start the hole precisely where I wanted it centered, and the pilot point is precise and starts the drill really easy.

High recommended, one of the better drill bit sets out there. Price is reasonable. And there are 2 - 1/8" bits in there, one of the most commonly used bit.

Cracked them open today installing a Viper Alarm. Made some holes into sheet metal and wood and they worked great! I'm only going to be using them for light automotive and things around the house. I'm very pleased!

UPDATE!

Ok, I gave these bits the automotive treatment by using most of them to install some nerf bars on my Jeep. I had to drill 16 holes into my frame on my Jeep. Sadly, they did not hold up to this type of work. I did break 3 bits but that was my error. I just couldn't use the 5/16 bit to drill straight through the frame for my mounting bolts. I have to start off with the smallest size and work my way up to the 5/16. The 6 sizes I used are shot and I doubt they will be effective for a small project like I used them on in the 1st place. I did use a $100 drill that wasn't cordless so I had the power.

I'm not surprised they couldn't hold up to the conditions I put them through. I will buy another set in the future. I do take one star off because two of the larger bits lost thier sharpness even though 3 or 4 previous pilot holes graduating in size were started before I used the bigger sizes and that's dissapointing.

Amazon's price was substantially lower than the local big box places on the exact same product, even after the shipping charge. I received it w/i 5 days of ordering.

I like the pilot point on these bits - keeps the bit steadier when starting a hole in metal. The slide lock on the carrying case is also a good feature - less likely to break, or open unexpectedly, than other bit sets I have owned.
