I have had this drill for a year and love it. I use it for mixing mortar and drilling large holes where a lot of torque is needed. Do NOT buy this drill for making small holes. The drill speed is a very slow 550 rpm's. You will need a much faster drill for most drilling. Works great!

I am a tile contractor.For mixing thinset ,this is the drill to own.Heavy duty and reliable.It will last through years of daily use before service is needed.

This drill is a heavy duty model designed for applications that are too tough for battery operated models and most other corded drills. I have used mine for drilling into railroad ties, landscape timbers and support posts while building retaining walls, decks and patios. I have also used it for auguring 3"x12" holes for planting bulbs in my flower beds. It has never once overheated or failed to perform, and the price offered by this vendor made it an outstanding value.

Had this drill over 5 years. Cant count how many buckets of mud this baby has cranked!!! CANT GO WRONG WITH THIS ONE!!!

This was the best $100 I have ever spent. After numerous small masonry jobs in which I was mixing in a wheelbarrow, I decided to buy a mixing drill. I could not be happier with this drill. Plenty of power to mix both mortar mix and pre-mix concrete in buckets, where you just add water. Saves so much time and much easier on the shoulders. Highly recommended from a mason that does small projects for friends and family.

I went with this drill after my old "mixing" drill gave out... Based on the reviews, It looked like a good choice... I've used it now to mix over 2 dozen bags of thinset and about the same in drywall mud... This thing goes like its spinning in water... Doesn't overheat, stall, or slow down... The power and durability of this drill are exactly what I've been looking for... I don't use it for drilling - only for mixing... For that purpose its as good as it gets...

As the reviewers mentioned this drill has lots of power to mix mud day after day. The D type handle though is a bad choice if you try to use this as a stud drill. If the bit binds and the drill twists around it is easy to get your hand stuck in the D handle and do damage to your wrist. With my new drills I stay away from ones with a D handle and stick with a pistol grip type.
