These hex shank drills eliminate slippage and make change painless in hex drive. Good quality.

Only problem was I should of ordered more of them. Seem to last as long as any other bits I have and really like the hex shank for my driver. Never have had a bit come off the shank like some others I have had.

This is the perfect little drill kit for a quickie drill job. I should have ordered 2 of them so I won't run out of the perfect drill bit set for my Black & Decker portable drill. I'm glad I got 5 of the little ones [separately] because in an apartment you need the little bits most often.

This is the perfect set to turn your drivers into drills. Most of my work with my makita 12v is to drive screws in and out. I occasionally need to drill a hole and these bits are fine. I resisted buying a dedicated chuck for standard bits but would have if I was doing a lot of drilling. My only complaint with this package is it would have been good to have a travel case to prevent the bits from rattling around and dulling the edges. I cut my packaging so I could remove the bits and slide them back in the packaging to avoid dulling. Good size selection and sturdy so far.

well made. Would not use on harder steels, but
fine for soft steels and aluminum, as well as
wood of course.

I've had these for about 2 years, and they just rattle around in a box with the rest of my quarter inch hex shank bits (among other drill bits, hole saws, and screw driver bits), since they come with no storage container (they arrive just vacuum-sucked to a paper card). That's ok though, and they're still spinning strong, making holes in whatever I shove them through. Mostly I'm drilling bare wood, or wood studs behind drywall, but I've gone through some thin sheet metal (shrouds for fluorescent lights) too, and didn't have any problem with that.

I use them with a Makita TDO90DWZ, which is actually not meant to be a drill. It's an impact driver (aka electric screwdriver with OOMF), but since it accepts quarter inch hex shanks, I figured it'd be fine drilling some holes too. I figured right. Through drywall it spins like an electric drill just fine, and then when it hits wood the impact hammers kick in. It makes a heck of a racket, but the bit turns, and a hole is drilled. I mention the [misuse of the] tool because I would understand if a drill bit was designed to turn smoothly but not be able to handle the jarring hammers of an impact driver. But I'm pleasantly surprised to report that these bits don't give a rat's bum how they're being turned.

I purchased thes to go with my makita 10.8v set that requires 1/4" hex drive. I am very happy with how sharp these bits are but one broke on it's first use. I already had a dewalt bit holder that these fit in otherwise I would not have purchased as a holder is key.

These Dewalt drills are for use with chuck free drivers - Would rather Dewalt make a small inexpense chuck to fit drivers so that standard drills could be used

Hex shank is an excellent way to prevent drill from spinning. Nice set for a nice price.

These bits are very well made but once you open the package they will tumble about and stray in your toolbox. Like many of their other items they should have considered some sort of case or containment so they don't get lost. The 2 stars is only for the lack of package, not the bits which work very well.
