This product is a musthave for any user of a circular saw. It is essential in making accurate cuts when ripping wood into narrower pieces.

If you're like me, you have a bit of a problem following a long chalk line down a piece of wood. Assuming your edge is straight to begin with, this is a very nice option to clamping a fence down to your work.

This fence is also absolutely awesome for hanging doors...you know...where you have to take off that 1/4" or 1/2" to fit it into the frame?

I highly recommend adding this to your circular saw case. You'll use it.

This item allows for straight, consistent cuts with your circular saw. Makes tasks like shaving doors, ripping, and similar functions quick and easy. It attaches to your circular saw in a matter of seconds, and requires no tools. Don't go without one of these, you will use it more than you think.

I assumed that this rip fence would be compatible with my recently purchased DeWalt DCS393 cordless circular saw (part of a DeWalt DCK590L2 5-tool combo kit). It was NOT. The correct part number turned out to be Part No. 381091-00, which I had a devil of a time finding. Unless you have one of the specifically listed DeWalt circular saws, I would definitely NOT recommend buying this product. You may be letting yourself in for a lot of headaches and unnecessary shipping charges.

I own a Black & Decker Sawcat, their professional line predecessor to the DeWalt brand. The DeWalt product line was coming into the market just as my circular saw product was phasing out. At that time, about 20 years ago, I noted, other than the DeWalt yellow plastic body parts, the units were nearly identical. My Sawcat hadn't come supplied with a rip fence.

Here it is, about 20 years later, and now I need a rip fence for some home repair work. I took a chance that this DeWalt piece was the same product design and dimensions as back then. It is and it works quite well in my perfectly operational Sawcat.

Works great with your DeWalt. Very solid. If you've got the saw you need this.

Sturdy works great, needs to be listed to show that it fits the eight and a quarter inch saw model

Nice design,my opinion only,could be a bit thicker,wish it were longer.Didn't know what to expect,can only use 4 inches of extension,but still,great tool.

This is an excellent piece of hardware, quite robust. However, I bought it because it was advertised as fitting 'most Black and Decker' saws...unfortunately mine is one that it doesn't fit.

In any case, I managed to borrow a Dewalt saw that it fits to do the job, so no harm done, but check before ordering!

I purchased this for my husband he wanted it for he is going to be doing some door frame work.
