Great for framing,

I've had this now for about a month and there really isn't one thing I could find wrong with this saw. It runs smooth, has a good line of sight, feels well balanced and doesn't bog down on any of the cuts. I also really liked the lower blade guard. It seems to be designed differenty so that it never gets hung up in the material. The case has storage for a couple of blades. I've tried the Porter-Cable, Milwaukee, and Bosch, but this is my favorite.

Best sidewinder I have used,

I'm not particularly a fan of "sidewinder" saws. I much prefer the worm drive skil saw. I got a great deal on this saw, I bought it from a friend who won it as a door prize. I have two other circular saws, a skil worm drive and a milwaukee. The DeWalt is light and well balanced. Although it doesnt have the power of the Skil it never felt under powered. It was a good choice to cut windows into a wall in a board and batten sided house. It was very easy to control, cutting in non-conventional positions. The guard did seem to work well, but I have yet to cut rafters or other angle cuts with it. The saw came with a good hard case. While it wont replace my worm drive it is a very nice saw to have for the times I want something lighter and easier to handle.

This is a great size and weight for all girls like myself that are tired of waiting for the man in your life to complete the "to do" list. Living in the country always requires some small or large project in process. Assembly was a little tricky as a nut needed to be taken off and flipped for the type of blade that came with it. So if you hit the power and the blade doesn't spin, that could be the easy fix. The blade also is not quite as sharp as I would like but I can upgrade the blade fairly easily.

I purchased this circular saw for general use around the house. The saw is extremely light but packs plenty of power to do any tasks required. It feels extremely comfortable in my hand. I used it to cut plywood and 2X4s and it performed very well. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a laser but the price was so reasonable ($99) that the additional cost for a laser model would not have been justified.

DEWALT DW368 Heavy Duty 7-1/4-Inch Lightweight Circular Saw. This Circular Saw is fantastic. I purchased his to replace my 16 year old B and D. I began using it immediately and notice a significant difference between the B and D and Dewalt. The saw is has quick releases for easy and quick adjuctments. The blade protector retracts easily and allows you to saw with one hand without having to manually retract the protector. I have been enjoying the Dewalt DW368 for the past month.

i used this saw for a few days--a co-worker has one. it is very light (noticeably lighter than my milwaukee saw), and well balanced. it does feel somewhat cheap, in the plastic-from-walmart sense. when started it also feels a bit rough when compared to its competitors from hitachi and milwaukee, in particular.
if weight is a huge issue, consider this saw, but if durability and the feel of quality are bigger issues, go for another.
