We are rennovating a 1960's vintage house in Albuquerque. The builders in this town have always been shady, but never as shady as in the '50s and '60s. When we pull up carpet and pad to prepare for new flooring, such as hardwood, tile, or laminate; we often discover slab issues. Reworking what the original contrtactor "messed" up often takes a concrete grinder. This baby does the job in seconds! We can move on to upgrades and not spend our time in nagging repairs of work done wrong the first time: Just grind it away and apply patch, smoothe and move on. This tool is a great time saver. (But, if you're going to be doing concrete grinding, buy the concrete wheel separately. It doesn't come with the tool.)

Our concrete driveway had dozens of cement patches (to fix concrete pops), many of which were higher than the driveway's level. This grinding wheel, mounted on a 30-year-old 4.5" right-angle grinder, easily smoothed the patches to the surrounding level. If you grind on a windy day, you won't even need a respirator. Great product at a reasonable price.
