Average for $60 dollars,

When cutting Porcelain tile or the tile most commonly used in quality residential construction this blade is just average. I have been cutting this hard tile quite often in the past 10 years and can say this Dewalt blade is just average. I had my doubts and had picked it up locally to complete a job when my blade was failing. Now in the $60 range I have had much better results with a M&K "Hot Dog" porcelain blade and my favorite is a Pearl DTL HPXL porcelain blade. The Pearl seriously lasted through 15 or more jobs and thousands of cuts where I paid even less at about $55. In summary I would not buy this again unless I'm stuck and don't have time to place an order for a different blade.

This blade replaced a Qep 10" 7mm rim blade. It was adequate yet, after replacing it with this DW4762 blade, the difference is tremendous. This is a much smoother blade, with less vibration and it feeds with much less noise. In addition, there is much less chipout on both sides of the tile being cut. I have cut porcelain tile, stone, marble and granite. I have had excellent results on all of these. Very satisfied with this blade.

Great tile blade,

What a fantastic tile saw blade. My $200 made in China, tile saw with its cheap blade was trash until I borrowed my brother's blade from his $1,100 Dewalt tile saw. Wow!! what a difference. This balde makes the cheap saw do wonders. I bought 1 for myself and 2 for friends that saw the difference. The cheap saw still falls short of the Dewalt in features and convience, but you can't tell the difference in the cut.

Vary stable blade that cuts very well. I prefer it to the MK Hotdog blade because it cuts straighter and is stiffer. The Mk Hotdog blade cuts slightly faster because it is so thin but this Dewalt DW4762 blade beats it in overall performance because of it's stiffness. Long lasting blade as well.

I've used several DeWalt 8" wet saw blades recently but found the 10" diameter DW4762 far less durable. In the trade I believe these are called single-job blades. Considering the Amazon reviews that led me to purchase the DW4762 (and I've no doubt they're accurate), let's consider that manufacturing quality control produces the occasional mediocre lot. Mine was among them. If you decide to purchase, I hope that yours performs far better and lasts much longer.

Used this on porcelain floor tile and it cut fast compared to the blade included with the saw. Only my second blade so not much to compare on. There was minor chipping that sometimes caused a second cut.

I have a 'cheap' (off-name) but powerful wet saw. The blade it came with was ok, but left some chipping. The new Dewalt blade has helped immensely. I've cut 12x12 3/8" granite tile in diagonals and 6x6 1/4" tiles with ease. There is still a small bit of chipping, but much less and less frequently; nothing that is unusable. Overall, I'm really pleased with the blade.

Dewalt 10 inch Porcelain Blade Works Great,

This review is from: DEWALT DW4762 10-Inch Wet Cutting Continuous Rim Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor for Porcelain or Tile (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have an inexpensive Wet Saw which I am using for cutting 20x20 Porcelain tiles with square edges, that is, no bevel. I wanted clean cuts, with no chipping, so I could use as much of each tile as possible. According to Dewalt, the DW4762 blade is designed specifically for porcelain so I decided to try it to get the clean cuts that I needed.
At first, the saw was not adjusted properly, and the trailing side of the blade was rubbing on one side of the kerf. This caused massive chipping on the tile surface. However, once I adjusted the saw to cut straight and the trailing saw edge did not rub either side of the kerf, the blade made very clean cuts. Both sides of the kerf are very straight with no chipping on the edges. In fact, unless inspected closely, it would be hard to tell which edges are original and which are cut edges. I don't know how other blades would compare, if they would do the same quality job, but for what I needed, this worked very well.

The Dewalt DW4762 cuts heavy duty Porcelain Tile and Granite with ease. We are using it on a DeWALT D24000 Tile Saw which is one of the best investments we have made.
