The DeWalt DW570K 1-1/8-inch hammer kit features an 8.3 amp motor that provides high performance and overload protection. In addition, the unit's hard-hitting hammer mechanism provides fast and efficient penetration, and its fully sealed gearbox is engineered for long life by keeping grease in and dust out. The DW570K accepts SDS bits from 5/32 to 1-1/8 inch. It features a higher drilling capacity than compact drilling hammers, resulting in increased productivity in 1/2-inch and larger applications. Because it weighs less than large drilling hammers, user fatigue is reduced in 5/8-inch and smaller applications. Chipping (hammer-only) mode allows the user to perform light chipping applications. There's also a rotation-only mode for wood and metal drilling (using SDS-to-round shank adapter). Dual-wall housing construction with rubber mounts in between isolates the vibration within the inner housing. This reduces user-felt vibration, causing less fatigue. In addition, the variable speeds allow for precise hole placement. Multiple O-rings and dust seals prevent dust from entering the tool for extended hammer mechanism life. The factory-set clutch reduces sudden, high-torque reactions if the bit jams. Includes 360-degree side handle, removable/replaceable chuck, and carrying case.
