5.0 out of 5 stars yellow is the way to go
I do woodworking as a hobby and try to keep up with what is going on. I got a tip that Dewalt is making some of the best blades out there, no matter the price. I would agree.Feed rate is amazing and cut is smooth. I will buy another without hesitation.

3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't leave a flat-bottomed groove
I bought this blade for its ATB/R grind, so that I can cut flat-bottomed grooves. I also picked up the Freud LU84R011 at twice the price.

They look and feel almost identical (although note that the Freud LU84R011 has a 0.125" kerf vs. the 0.100" kerf on this blade), but the Dewalt left a noticeable V-profile groove at the bottom of the cuts. It was less...

4.0 out of 5 stars Great bargain!, August 21, 2007

This review is from: DEWALT DW7150PT 10-Inch 50 Tooth ATB Combination Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor and Tough Coat Finish (Tools & Home Improvement)
This blade is such a nice bargain. For around $40, it comes close to my Infinity, Forrest, and Ridge Carbide blades, and holds its own against my many of my mid level Freud, Tenryu, and CMT blades, some of which cost nearly twice as much. For a 50T blade it feeds surprisingly easily, enabling it to go through thick stock more easily than most similar blades. Crosscuts were very clean, and rip cuts give glue ready edges. It's very versatile overall, and easy for smaller saws to spin, though the swirl marks are slightly more pronounced than those left by my Infinity Super General, Freud LU88, and Forrest WWII.

My complaint...the paint job and letting are a bit sloppy. It took a bit of sanding the coating out of the bore to get it to mount to the arbor, and I'm finding that the lettering smudges off pretty easily, but other than that I'm quite pleased. Super choice for an all around workhorse on a non-industrial table saw, and should be fine for general miter saw work (the hook is too steep for a sliding miter saw though). Plus, the bright yellow makes it really easy to find in my rack! It was also nice to see that its made in the UK, and not in China. I would have rated it 5-stars for the price had it not been for needing to cleanup the arbor hole.

3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't leave a flat-bottomed groove, October 28, 2011

They look and feel almost identical (although note that the Freud LU84R011 has a 0.125" kerf vs. the 0.100" kerf on this blade), but the Dewalt left a noticeable V-profile groove at the bottom of the cuts. It was less pronounced than my old ATB blade, but still deep enough to need cleaning out by hand. The Freud did better, leaving an almost flat groove.

So: this blade feels like the more expensive Freud blade, but doesn't create a flat bottomed dado.

1.0 out of 5 stars Never had a chance, September 16, 2007

After installing the Dewalt blade I decided to check runout before I cut anything. To my suprise it had .035" runout! I reinstalled it twice, making sure there was nothing on the arbor and still it had the huge amount of runout. I stoned the blade where the arbor attaches to see if it was flat. It wasn't. It was warped, so I tossed it in the trash and purchased a Freud. That blade had only .004" of runout and cuts smooth, quiet and clean. $40 down the drain thanks to Dewalt.
