4.0 out of 5 stars Good trim saw
I've used the 935K for two years now in some remote locations in Alaska and now in Maine and I love it. Decent power and handles very well. Well balanced and easy to work with. Only complaint is having not being able to cut through a two by without turning over your work. Like the idea of being able to get blades anywhere though. It really chews up batteries when...

3.0 out of 5 stars Saw good Batteries Bad
I have my own repair business and use this saw occasionally and it never fails to have dead batteries when I'm ready to use it. No matter when I charged them last, they will not hold a charge for any length of time. Other than that it's a good saw, but I should have stuck with Milwaukee products for heavy usage. Have had no problems with Milwaukees batteries.

I've used the 935K for two years now in some remote locations in Alaska and now in Maine and I love it. Decent power and handles very well. Well balanced and easy to work with. Only complaint is having not being able to cut through a two by without turning over your work. Like the idea of being able to get blades anywhere though. It really chews up batteries when working with the thicker woods though. I have four and keep them going all the time. Nice saw though, I've dropped it from two stories more than once and it keeps on going. I've used it on boats in the salt air and sea spray and it still works as good as it did when it was new. You'll like this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy,convienent, September 14, 2002
This review is from: DEWALT DW935K 14.4-Volt 5-3/8-Inch Cordless Trim-Saw Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
I've had this saw for about 6 yrs. Got it as a gift when it first came out. It's the first saw I reach for . I certainly would'nt recomend it for everyday heavy use contruction. I use it for general purpose cutting. Just finished framing a basement with it.Never took my corded saw on the job. Second battery is a must. Never had any problems. Still using original blade. Highly recomend it for those who like getting away from the mess and tangles of cords. It's lightweight to boot compared to the new 18, 24 volt models that are out. Dave

I had to replace my sand and finish hickory floor in the kitchen due to water problems. I used my dewalt 14.4 cordless saw to cut the floor around the cabinets in several areas. I must say I was suprised by this little saw. It's got guts to rip through hickory the way it did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Husband loves it, June 25, 2001

It's the perfect size for the small do-it-yourselfer. We didn't need anything big - but seeing my husband hand saw small pieces of wood - because pulling out the bulky skill saw was too much i decided for this saw. It has been wonderful.

4.0 out of 5 stars DeWalt trim saw, July 13, 2008

This review is from: DEWALT DW935K 14.4-Volt 5-3/8-Inch Cordless Trim-Saw Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
Everything as advertised. I would have liked it to include an extra battery. As currently priced an extra battery is about one third the price of the whole kit.

Would buy it again for the intended uses.

I received the saw as a gift from my wife. I love this saw. It is so much easier for me to make a prescision cut with this saw than with my 7 1/4 corded circular saw. I only use it periodlically but even after sitting for months, when I go to use it, the battery is still ready to go. I have nothing bad to say about this saw. Great item.

5.0 out of 5 stars This might be the most convenient tool I have ever owned, September 2, 2006

I just love this saw. It's the first saw I reach for. I've had mine for at least 7 years, use it extensively, and it's still running strong.
The only weak point is the saw's base plate. It's just stamped, not extruded, so it will bend/warp when dropped. Also, my base has no slot for the edge guide that came with it. Kind of silly, that.
Being cordless, it does have it's limitations. To get the most out of it, change blades more often than you would with a corded saw. Dull blades will tax your batteries. If you can find it with the gold topped XRP batteries, pay the extra price. You wont regret it. My original batteries are long since dead. I've recently bought a pair of XRPs and the improved performance is striking.
