Lot's of good info, but a bit dated.,

The DeWalt Datacom reference has a lot of good information in it. All sorts of stuff from wiring to formulas. Unfortunately there are items obviously missing and some included that should probably be shelved.
The Computers and Internet section covers interfaces like RS-232, parallel, and SCSI which is fine, but there is nothing on USB, Firewire, or SATA. No mention of DVI or HDMI. The Teledata section has plenty of info on ISDN. Who uses ISDN anymore? The glossary has no mention of RG-6 cable which is pretty much the standard for cable and satellite TV/internet connections these days. This needs some updates to bring it up with current standards. As it stands, this reference is showing its age. It needs to be updated or sold at half the going price. |
