My 1 month old is very attached to me because I breastfeed, so because she nurses so close to my body, she is comforted by my heartbeat. The Mommy & Me Bear has this wonderfully soothing womb sound that has the heart beat rythym...she loves it. She falls asleep with no problem and sleeps through the night well. She loves the bear and she loves waking up to the bear...it's a wonderful comfort to her when she sees and/or hears it. I would recommend this to any new mom...it's a God send. I'm so glad I bought it! You will not be disappointed. It shuts off after 40 minutes of play so you don't have to worry about it. It's a great asset to any nursery..go out and get it TODAY!

To help out, I sleep in the same room with my new granddaughter once in a while. At first, whenever she was having a hard time sleeping, I would turn on some of her musical toys which nearly startled her awake! They were so LOUD in the middle of the night. I then purchased the Mommy and Baby Bears and what a godsend. The bear actually has a volume control and it plays for 40 minutes at a time. You can play the heart sounds or you can play classical music. We did have to go out and buy a tiny screwdriver to open the battery case to replace the double AA batteries, which was a pain. So, I suggest if you give this as a gift, include a tiny screwdriver with it.

I just purchased this bear last week with my son already being 3 months old. I had heard about this bear from my mother-in-law and decided that it was time to give it a try. The first day I brought it home and placed it next to him while he was upset it calmed him almost instantly. Since then, I have taken it with me everywhere I go. It has allowed me extra time to do things I needed to do but was unable to do before due to his fussiness and crying. This bear is heaven sent!

This has been a must-have for us since the beginning. My son is now 7 months old, and we're still using it. It's great because the music or heartbeat will play for about 45 minutes, much longer than our mobile (5 minutes). The sounds are very peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommended!

I bought this bear after reading several positive reviews. I had been looking for something to help my baby sleep more soundly at night--he was only sleeping for a few hours at a time, even though I knew he was capable of sleeping longer. He just couldn't seem to get into a deep sleep. My son LOVED this bear from day one. For the first few days that we used it, he fell asleep almost immediately when I turned it on, and slept much more soundly, too. In fact, he didn't seem to want to get up from his naps because he was sleeping so well! Though it doesn't have quite the same effect now (a few weeks later), it definitely still calms him (as long as he's not extremely overtired, which seldom happens). It also works well as a "cue" for him to know that it's time to go to sleep (or so I believe). I love that the bear can be attached to pretty much anything with its velcro straps and that it has adjustable volume. If I had to say anything negative about the bear, it would be that it seems to run through batteries pretty quickly (two AA). It might be that the batteries I've been using weren't brand new, so that might explain it, but I'm not sure. Either way, it's worth it. I'd buy this bear again in a heartbeat (no pun intended), and plan on giving it as a gift to any friends who are expecting.

I have bought this bear for many friends and they all loved it. They swear by it's magic on their baby, most won't go asleep without it. I am now expecting, and it was the first thing I registered for.

This was a must-have on my registery. I heard about it 13 years ago when my twin nieces were born. This bear was the only thing that would get the girls to fall asleep. I have recommended it to my sister-in-laws, who now also think it's the best thing to have! I did end up getting it, and it's even better than the one from 13 years ago!! It comes with a baby bear that you can actually insert the sound box into (from the mother bear) and use it when traveling. It's very soft and both bears have a velcro attachment to attach it to the crib. You can change the womb sound to classical music simply by flipping a switch on the sound box. This really is a great item to have.

These bears are so great. Our 2-month-old visibly (and audibly) relaxes when we turn on the womb noises. The only difficult night with her was the one when the batteries ran out. We use it constantly and I often find her chattering away to her bear in the morning. I would highly recommend this!

My daughter is almost 2-years-old, and we still use her Mommy bear at night with the classical mode turned on. She was a preemie, and sounds of the womb made it easier for her to sleep once she came home from the N.I.C.U. and needed some noise. Her mommy bear went with her on her first road trips as well. You will definitely get your $ worth with this item!

My daughter has the earlier version of the mommy bear (she was born in 1998). She is now 7 years old and still uses it along with other sleep toys that she uses on a rotating basis. She knows that this is her first bear that she had from day one and she says that she wants to keep it forever. The batteries last for a long time because it has an auto shut off feature.
I highly reccoment this product.
