I also like the quality and fit of the handle and the edges.
Baron
It has a very tacky surface which provides an excellent grip on the ball, and therefore enables you to impart a great spin on the ball.

I recommend this racket for short to mid-range attack players.

Being raised in Hong Kong, where ping pong is practically a national sport, I was familiar with the DHS brand growing up as a kid in the 1960's. It was the # 1 brand at that time. I am an excellent player, so I know what I am talking about. Having recently returned to the sport after a long absence, I had no qualms about buying this racquet on-line sight unseen. So I ordered it. When it arrived, I was a bit disappointed to see the quality of the wood used for the paddle and handle had cheapened over the years. I remembered back in the day, the wood and handle had a nice finish and varnish to it. That is now gone.

Now for the good stuff. The quality of the rubber is superb, which is the most important feature of the racquet. It has a very tacky surface which provides an excellent grip on the ball, and therefore enables you to impart a great spin on the ball. If you maintain the paddle properly by simply wiping it with a damp cloth after use, you will be able to maintain the super grip of the rubber.

Bottom line: although not the best or most expensive racquet, this is a very, very good racquet for the money. Please note that this racquet is designed with a short handle, for holding it pen style, hence the name "Penhold", which is the way most Chinese players hold the racquet. Make sure you buy the one that fits your style of holding the racquet.

I've only been playing for about 6 months but this racket suits my style perfectly. Excellent quality in it's construction. I recommend this racket for short to mid-range attack players.

I can confirm it! It does smell like fish! But it is a really good paddle. Took me a little while to get use to a heavier and higher quality paddle, but it was worth it. The spin and control is really good. There are a lot of topspin hits that I can only really do using this kind of paddle. It also made my backspin serve a lot better as well. Technique can only get you so far I realized. If you want to take your game to the next level, invest some money in one of these paddle. I was use to playing with the penhold grip using a regular paddle for so long it has taken some time to get use to an actual penhold grip style paddle. The bottom edge of the rubble was kind of abrasive to my index finger when I first played with it for an extended period of time. I probably just have to get use to the actual penhold grip on a penhold paddle. If nothing else, as other great ping pong players have said before me - "Also the color of the handle is cool, making this racket even more awesome and that a win right there." That a win right there my friends.

Paddle received do look different from stock pictures.

My Paddle observations:

1. The blue handle is not blue completely, only the middle dark blue exists, the sides are wooden color like.

2. Even after 3 months of using it on a regular basis of 3 nights per week, the glue/fishy smell is still strong.

3. Wang Hao picture button does look off colored, this however doesnt suggest its a fake like another reviewer has stated, it might just sub-par printing machines.

4. The handle does have the black see thru plastic on/off at a different angle print of "6 star/6006 print" and the anti counterfeit sticker, however when I go to dhs-sports.com to check for authenticity, the site itself goes 404.

5. The rubbers have all the word printings on both side. (red is hurricane III as FH, black is tinacr III as BH)

6. The blade and handle are NOT perfectly proportioned when lay flat on table. The blade has more space on the right side below the rubber with the black plastic button facing me while the handle is tilted lower on left side.

7. IF I stand the paddle up by itself with WangHao button on bottom, the blade looks proportional and the rubbers are tilted.

I seriously hope the that rubbers are tilted and not the blade because the holding form is much more important.

This is an OK paddle, its a mass factory produced product and the quality and price reflect so. I got it for 1/3 less than a premium rubber (Donic Baracuda $45).

My previous paddle has the Donic Baracuda and Haifu Whale rubbers with a longer blade. I bought the A6006 mainly because I read Chinese rubber like Hurricane III was more tacky and should generate much more spin than the Baracuda. It is not the case.

We upgraded from Killerspin Jet Set 2-pack Table Tennis Racket Set to these DHS 6-star series and it suddenly feels like a different game. It is not that the Killerspin rackets are bad. They have reasonably sticky rubber that results in some spin. But compared to the DHS, they are just too forgiving. Incoming spins are nullified to a large extent; speed is easily dampened as well. The drawback is of course that you won't be able to generate the kind of spin and speed necessary at the club level. This DHS, on the other hand, is every bit a serious player's racket. In the skillful hand of an experienced player, it will produce sharp trajectories impossible for beginner equipment. Casual players may find it a little hard to control, though. Also, the rubber smells in the first week.
