Ander Monson is the author of a host of paraphernalia including a decoder wheel, several chapbooks and limited edition letterpress collaborations, a website (otherelectricities.com), and five books, most recently The Available World (poetry, Sarabande, 2010) and Vanishing Point: Not a Memoir (nonfiction, Graywolf, 2010). He lives and teaches in Tucson, Arizona, where he edits the magazine DIAGRAM (thediagram.com) and the New Michigan Press.

hands-down the best anthology of diagram-oriented short works out there. I couldn't put it down. I still can't. Somebody take this from me. I work for NASA.

I ran across this book on a coffee table while I was at a party, and I snagged it and took it home with me. It's wild, it's original, and damn is it fun. Lots of great newcomers like Amalie Flynn, Ariana-Sophia Kartsonis, Brandon Hobson, Derek White, Norman Lock...etc. etc. Highly literary. Highly recommended.

An exciting blend of language and design. A variety of fresh, lyrical voices. Bunches of great diagrams. Medea and the Snow-Angels by Lara Glenum, A Poem to Gravity by Paul Guest, a cool poem called Penny Dreadful by Bill Spratch--this collection is restless and refreshing. Sharp. Smart. A real value in every way.
