No good substitute for this CD,

I purchased this CD on a whim because Future Loop Foundation played a strong role in its production. Indeed, FLF's meticulous and fluid sensibilities drive the entire CD. The sequencing of the songs just makes sense as you listen to it. The beats, loops and melodies are simply addictive and are perfect for establishing a groove. It's interesting, the tone of the album changes throughout, starting with more funk influenced electro-jazz punctuated with Gabin's incredible, but surreal, "La Maison," then moving through a more sultry vocal section to end with, of all things dance tracks... house dance tracks... and honestly, after hearing this CD there are at least four or five artists I'm ready to pick up including Gabin, Loopless, Weekenders, and FLF.This CD is definitely well-done and worth buying, especially at Amazon's price. In some ways its like a Hotel Costes album but more unique and intimate and less contrived. Also check out "La Suite," by Pierandrea (The Professor) if you like more atmospheric, unique and uplifting electronica beats. |
