Works perfectly,
This review is from: DIG Irrigation BC380 Evaporative Mist Cooling System, 3/8" Line
I wanted an inexpensive misting set to get my mom on mothers day and this was perfect. I searched around and other sets were either poorly rated or far too expensive for my tastes.I followed the directions for these misters (which were sparse, but enough). It contains 50 feet of hose but recommends 30-40 feet of usable coverage (the remaining ten for scaling up/around a wall). I ended up using about 32 feet which was all I needed, with the ten misters spaced about 2.5 feet apart (with small gaps near the corners and support posts of the patio). The set even comes with a line connector which you could use if you happened to cut the line too short. We like them so much, we are already thinking about extending the line, but we would want to buy some more nozzle heads ( http://www.digcorp.com/DIY/226-Cooling_Mist_Kits_&_Accessories/diy_products ). I bought some other supplies at Home Depot and got to see the sets they sell in action (Orbit). They are more expensive and the lines looked a little more difficult to assemble. Their spray pattern also seemed to have heavier drops to me, because the streams didn't spread and dissipate quite like these. The Orbit misting nozzles had metal tips on those while these are plastic. That worried me a little until I saw how easy the Ocean Breeze heads are to remove. I didn't have any problems with clogging when they were installed, but they should be very easy to clean. Furniture within about 1-1.5 feet of the misters can get wet, but this was not a problem for us.

Misters are good but not great,

When I started looking for misters I read early on in reviews of products that brass heads were the best. I thought that was what I was ordering when I bought this system. It wasn't until I went back and looked at pictures that I realized they were plastic and I was wrong. Overall the system was easy to install and works pretty well although it does seem to put out too much water from each head leaves puddles pretty quickly under each head. The vendor Drip Depot is awesome though, there was a manufacturer defect in my kit that was taken care of quickly and easily by Drip Depot.

So easy to install. I could not believe how cool it made it on a 93 degree hot and humid day. So pleasurable to sit out on my deck and enjoy the day in a cool breeze. I highly recommend!

decent low cost misting kit,

I live in the Seattle area where we don't normally have temps above the low 90's in the summer. Two weeks ago we were pushing temps over 100 so I went ahead and ordered this for a 20 foot patio area in my back yard. The directions instruct you to place the spray heads 2-4 feet apart and I chose to place mine using 2 foot spacing under the eve of my roof. I would suggest using 3-4 foot spacing if you have a summer climate that hangs in the 80's. If you live in places like Vegas, perhaps the 2 foot spacing would be best. Because our home uses a well for water I also chose to run an in line filter at the faucet to help prevent the spray nozzles from clogging. So far it's working great.Pros: -Directions were sufficient enough to have this up and running in 30 minutes. No cutting required like the T connector style kits. -Mist is fine enough that you don't really get wet when sitting under it. -No drips yet. -Kit comes with an add-on connector in case you ever want to add a second kit to the existing line. Room For Improvement: -Would be nice if the spray heads could be shut off individually in case you happen to have a door open and don't want the wind carrying the mist indoors. Screw out to open, and screw in to shut off, etc. -Other kits I've looked at use T connectors where the heads are. This gives you the ability to easily change the direction of the spay by moving the spray head up or down. -Would be nice if there were a few more of the C clamps used to hang the water line although they're cheap at the hardware store. It comes with 15 for 50 feet of line.

I recently constructed a pergola, and wanted to add misters to combat the hot summer days. There appeared to be two choices- a much more expensive solution based on brass fittings and pipe, and this product based on vinyl tube and plastic misters. You get what you pay for. The biggest problem with these are drips. I have installed them per the instructions, which requires them to be mounted at a slight angle from vertical, and can not stop the drips. It very much ruins the "misting experience" when you are sitting underneath them and get a constant dripping of water. The net result is that there is always a jockeying of chairs as people try to stay away from the drips. I also had a problem with clogging. We use well water, so their are some salts and perhaps fine particulates in our water, but I am forever cleaning out the mister heads- even after flushing out the lines to the misters. On the postitive side, when they are working , they do throw off a nice, fine mist, and it does cool down the area underneath them quite nicely. My dog loves them, and I would think these would be a good match for a dog kennel-since dogs don't seem to mind the drips. One tip- most good hardware stores seem to carry a selection of the 3/8" connecting hardware, so if you forget to order something when you buy these, there is help close by. I plan on removing these next year and replacing them with a brass nozzle and PVC piped system.

I had never seen a misting product before, and mine is the only one I have seen. I love it! We installed it only hours before a deck party and did not know what to expect. It was 101 degrees that afternoon and really humid. The mist was wonderful. Our guests thought it was the greatest. Two ladies were from California but had now lived in Oklahoma for many years. They sat right under the mist and relived the ocean mist feeling. It really did cool the air at least 20 degrees It was easy to install, but we could have used a few more nail hooks. Get one! You'll love it!

This kit comes with only 15 heads which needs to be increased to 45 if you use all of the tubing, etc. that is included. Used with a purchased timer, this system creates a fine mist which is perfect for all greenhouse plants, especially seedlings.

Easy to set up and works great! We used it to help keep a tent cool for a backyard wedding & reception in Texas in July! The Ocean Breeze mist system made the 100+ temp feel much more bearable and even comfortable.

Mostly a good setup. It went up fast and easy. Can see a possible problem if you have really high pressure with the connections, but not an issue for me. Biggest complaint is the clips used to put on wall is just a clip with a small nail which isn't long enough to really attach well to my house. I easily fixed that problem by pulling out the nails and replacing them with screws and worked perfect (good thing I had the right size left over from another project).
