Product Description

This is an automatic flash designed to work with your digital camera on the external hotshoe mount or as a supplementary slave flash. While on external flash mode this flash will sense light variations timing and intensity to provide additional light for a perfect picture. Because it is sensor driven, you can mount it on the bracket provided, place it on any mount or table and even hold it on the side to achieve the best lighting. It will work with pre-flash, burst flash and red-eye reduction.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tough To Hold Down, January 19, 2007

This review is from: NEW DIGITAL CAMERA SLAVE FLASH FL/HVL/w Bracket & Cable by BOWER (Electronics)
I am very pleased with this product. It performs as advertised. However, I have an issue with the design of fastening the flash to the camera. The thumbwheel and threads are plastic. When the thumbwheel is tightened to a certain point, there is slippage of the plastic threads, limiting the "tightness" of the flash to camera fit. Consequently, the flash has a tendency to wobble when attached to the camera, but, electrical contact is made. I believe metal threads would eliminate this problem.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just one negative, November 22, 2006

I love the flash. It'll work wonderfully for what I need it for. I can attach it to my fujifilm finepix s9000 with the provided mounting bracket, and use both the flash as a slave, and the built in flash on the camera at once. Only one negative though, the mounting bracket is made of plastic. I anticipate it breaking if I'm not careful. Hopefully, before it does, I can find a metal one somewhere. Other than that, great!

3.0 out of 5 stars Value for money, February 24, 2009

This review is from: NEW DIGITAL CAMERA SLAVE FLASH FL/HVL/w Bracket & Cable by BOWER (Electronics)
The flash was good value, reasonable output for the money. The quick release mount looked a bit too flimsy to chance using it, so i used a spare knurled screw to mount the bracket and flash to the camera. The lack of a model number for the flash in the items for sale listing led me to buy this flash without some of the features I wanted (fill flash). I searched for Model Number SF328AZ and ended up with SF328, which is assumed was what i wanted. The quoted guide number as with most flashes is a bit ambitious, but close.
