These placemats look great when you get them, but after washing and drying they have to be ironed as they come out of the dryer looking like an accordian. Will not purchase again..

These placemats do not wash well. Use them once and then they come out all wrinkled stiff and not usable.

Very nicely made and exactly the color I wanted. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is they hold onto lint and crumbs very easily

I love the color and the large size. I washed once and hard to iron, so they are much smaller and kinda wrinkled. I hand washed in cool and hung to dry, but still worthless to me now. If I knew what to do to prevent this, I would get them again because I like the color and the texture, but I don't want the smaller size.

These placemats were very nice. I liked the color, fabric, and size. They were a gift and the person who received them likes them.

These mats are great, except when you have to wash them. Anticipating disaster, I did not even attempt to put them in the washer and dryer. The only good way to wash them is by hand in cold water in the tub (and boy, do they bleed, even in cold water!), keep them flat, wring gently, shake back into a flat shape and hang carefully overnight. If they are hanging down completely straight, they will dry well and won't need ironing. But you can't bend them over a clothes line, or clip them with clothespins, as that will distort the fabric and it will dry in that shape. I ran two pieces of heavy thread through the fabric at the corners and hung the mats by tying the thread on the shower curtain rod. If they dry in a folded/bent/dented shape, there's no ironing them after that... In retrospect, I would not have bought these if I knew what it would cost to wash and dry them. But if you got them anyway, the above is the best method I've found.

We're definitely fans of the yellow and the durable fabric. Our only issue was that after the first washing, some of the corners started to curl up a little bit. We ironed them but that still didn't take the curl out entirely. We ended up putting the curled corners under the dessert plates and no one noticed. :-)

the color of these placemats are true to what you see, purple is a hard color to find, good size nice and big.

Very good quality for the money. I have not yet had to wash them, so that may change my mind, but I am very happy with them so far.

I have not washed these yet- but right out of the package they look very nice. They are thick enough to be some protection for the table, and the colors are spot on with the photo on SI- I have the Vineyard Stripe.
