Very large and colors just like the picture,

The only reason I didn't give these nice, hefty bowls five stars is that you don't know until you get them that THEY ARE NOT DISHWASHER SAFE.
I'd put everything in the dishwasher if I could --just hate handwashing anything. I put these on the top rack and it doesn't seem to hurt them. Usually when a ceramic is not dishwasher approved, it means it can't take the heat stress from the drying heat element. So, I don't dare put them in the microwave, either. Rats!It was my choice to risk crazing and cracking by using the top rack, and they're just fine after five washings. The large bowl holds dough for four loaves of bread to rise, the middle one holds two, and the small one is great for serving things.

THESE ARE GREAT BOWLS AND ALMOST JUST WHAT I WAS AFTER BUT THEY ARE MUCH SMALLER THAN YOU THINK. VERY NICE AND HEAVY SO THEY WON'T SLIP BUT IF YOU NEED TO COOK FOR MORE THAN 4-6 PEOPLE YOU WILL NEED ANOTHER LARGER BOWL. THE BROWN ONE IS THE SIZE OF A CEREAL BOWL. NICE BUT STILL ON THE LOOK OUT FOR A BIGGER ONE.
