I purchased these for embroidery as I love the neutral colors. Unfortunately, as for drying dishes, they fall short. They are a looser weave fabric that does not seem to be as absorbent as other 'flour sack' dishtowels I've purchased. They also have a tendency to pill slightly. They do the job and are in a pleasing color, but this are not the best drying towel I've purchased.
