Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: DIMMABLE LED GU10 HIGH POWER SPOT LAMP, 120 Volt, warm white, 1502WW (Misc.)
these are not dimmable with standard dimmer, and are not 4 watts. it says on the box 4x0.5watt. the colour is not uniform reflecting on the wall with a yellowish ring.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work as advertised, September 11, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased two of these LEDs because they were listed as "dimmable" with any new style dimmer. Well they're not. I tried only one of them in the circuit then both and followed that with adding the three halogen bulbs in the circuit. With only one bulb or two, they strobed like a disco lounge in the '70's! When I added the halogens, they did not dim at all but the halogens behaved normally. I tried emailing the company and then tried using Amazon's email. I never got an answer. The dimmer I am using is about 3 months old so definitely qualifies as a "newer" style dimmer. Don't waste your time or money on these if you want to use them with a dimmer.

1.0 out of 5 stars Did not dim, September 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I really hoped these would work out even at $18 each. But they do not dim with a regular dimmer switch. If a special type of dimmer is required this should be specified. Thanks though to Amazon on their awesome return policy and easy return procedure

1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY - DOES NOT WORK, October 20, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: DIMMABLE LED GU10 HIGH POWER SPOT LAMP, 120 Volt, warm white, 1502WW (Misc.)
Wish I had read the comments before I purchased 5 of these. These are NOT dimmable replacement lamps. These lamps are the same form factor as a 50 watt halogen twist lamp and that is where the similarity's end. The light output is horrible, they dim about 2-3% and they blink as you further dim the fixture. To advertise these as warm white 120 volt dimmable halogen replacements is just a lie. The box was marked 220 volts. Warm white was just dim white. They do not dim down as one would expect a dimmer to operate. I returned them 2-seconds after they arrived by UPS, and now I am waiting for my $100.00 back from Amazon. Amazon should question this vendors authenticity. I called them in California and they wouldn't even take my question.

3.0 out of 5 stars not great but OK, September 5, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: DIMMABLE LED GU10 HIGH POWER SPOT LAMP, 120 Volt, warm white, 1502WW (Misc.)
just got four of these LED lamps today to replace my 50W GU10 lamps. On the package it says 240V AC 4x0.5w 1226ww, both voltage and watt are different from the description, and there is another tag saying DIMMABLE LED GU10 DIMI49WW which is confusing, don't know if this is the same as 1226WW.

But the lamps work OK after installation. They are NOT so dimmable, the brightness change is not so dramatic, not sure if this is normal. When wroking under full power they may be equivalent to 30-35W traditional lamps.

3.0 out of 5 stars DIMMABLE, but ONLY with CORRECT Type of Dimmer Switch!!, November 2, 2011
This review is from: DIMMABLE LED GU10 HIGH POWER SPOT LAMP, 120 Volt, warm white, 1502WW (Misc.)
All mains voltage halogen bulbs (eg GU10 and G9 types) can be dimmed BUT may require a dimmer of higher wattage than the total wattage of the light fitting they are dimming. All low voltage Halogen bulbs (eg G4, G6.35 and G5.3 types) may require special dimmers dependant on their transformer type and we do advise not to use dimmers with them. However, any qualified electrician should be able to advise, supply and fit these for you.

Unfortunately, the product DOES NOT inform the consumer of this right away, and then you purchase it, and it does not "dim" as advertised.

I recommend that all switches and dimmers be fitted by a qualified electrician. Please consult your electrician for the correct type of dimmer required for your light fitting.
